The art program themed "Hai Phong - Shining with Heritage" opened the 2024 Red Flamboyant Flower Festival at the Central Political -Administrative Square in the North Song Cam urban area, Thuy Nguyen district.
The program was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, along with leaders from central ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as leaders from neighboring provinces and cities.
The Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2024 holds a special significance as Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province jointly receive the UNESCO decision recognizing Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago as a World Natural Heritage site, the first inter-regional heritage site in Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, emphasized that the city always prioritizes the construction of cultural and religious works that will have cultural value for generations to come.

According to Mr. Tung, Hai Phong currently has 132 tangible and intangible cultural heritage sites that have been recognized as national cultural heritage, including two special national monuments and 21 recognized national treasures, ranking among the top in the country.
"In the process of building and developing the city, Hai Phong places great importance on the cultural values and spiritual life of its people, because culture is the driving force and source of development," Mr. Tung expressed.

The art program "Hai Phong - Shining with Heritage" is the highlight of the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2024, with three chapters including: The Moon Lute of the Sea, which takes the mythical moonlight as its main image, recreating the legends and historical tales of Hai Phong.
Chapter two, themed "Hai Phong - Radiant May," features a lighthouse as the central image in its stage design, carrying significant historical and contemporary meaning.
The final chapter, titled "Hai Phong - A Shining Heritage Land," uses the aspirational sun as its central image, representing the city's fervent aspirations before dawn, bringing new opportunities and opening a door to a promising future for the port city.

From the evening of May 11th, tens of thousands of locals and tourists flocked to enjoy the artistic performances and spectacular fireworks display at the most magnificent stage ever set up, inspired by the image of a blooming flamboyant flower, creating a multi-faceted visual experience of Hai Phong city rising strongly and brimming with vitality.
