The program took place in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere with a series of activities designed as a day of appreciation for workers. Here, 500 urban drainage workers were presented with practical Tet gifts as a thank you for their silent contributions in maintaining the living environment and ensuring the safe and smooth operation of urban infrastructure.
In addition, workers received health advice, got haircuts to welcome the new year, and took commemorative photos, contributing to an atmosphere of unity and sharing before the Lunar New Year.

The "Building a Happy Tet 2026" program, organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, will be implemented nationwide from December 2025 to February 2026. It is expected that the program will distribute over 30,000 Tet gifts to workers and organize various activities to care for their material and spiritual well-being, such as health check-ups, haircuts, and commemorative photo sessions, contributing to a fulfilling and warm Tet holiday for workers.

This is the fourth year the program has been implemented, continuing to spread humanitarian values and demonstrating long-term commitment to caring for workers who directly contribute to building, operating, and maintaining urban areas.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Nam Tu, Head of the Nhan Dan Newspaper's Southern Region Representative Office, said: “The 'Building Tet 2026' program is the result of close cooperation between press agencies, businesses, and social forces, with the spirit of leaving no one behind. Through the program, the culture of gratitude and kindness continues to spread, contributing to building a humane and sustainable working environment.”

Mr. Le Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Members of Ho Chi Minh City Urban Drainage Company Limited, shared that the support of the organizing committee is a great source of encouragement for the workers, especially during the peak period at the end of the year when the workload increases significantly.
Ms. Huynh Thi Bich Dung, a worker at Binh Hung Hoa A Enterprise, said that after more than 12 years of working there, this is the first time she has received so many Tet gifts and meaningful care activities. “This year's Tet is very special. I received gifts, lucky money envelopes, and there were many fun programs, so I brought my child along, and she really enjoyed it. Being cared for and shared like this in the days leading up to Tet makes me feel warm inside,” Ms. Dung shared.

As a single mother raising two young children, Ms. Dung faces many difficulties in life, with an unstable income. According to her, the Tet gifts not only help her family have a more fulfilling Tet holiday but also carry great spiritual significance, giving her more motivation to overcome difficulties and feel secure in her work.

Sharing similar sentiments, Mr. Dinh Van Huu, a worker at Branch No. 1 of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Drainage Company, said that the "Building for Tet 2026" program was truly a celebration that cared for the spiritual well-being of workers. "The attention from the leadership and organizers brought joy, excitement, and a warm feeling to the workers after a year of hard work. This is also a source of pride that allows us to feel secure and committed to our jobs," Mr. Huu said.

According to Mr. Huu, the most impressive aspect of the program was the awareness campaigns on occupational safety and fire prevention. These were practical activities that helped workers improve their safety awareness during work. Only when working safely can workers return home to their families and successfully complete their assigned tasks.

According to the organizers, the "Building Tet 2026" program will be implemented at 72 Coteccons construction sites nationwide, and will also be expanded to include sanitation workers and urban drainage workers in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Hanoi, in order to continue spreading humanitarian values and the spirit of sharing in the community.
