Take strong action against insulting referees.

Coach Vu Tien Thanh has repeatedly reacted to and criticized referees and match officials, receiving various disciplinary actions from the VFF Disciplinary Committee.

The incident involving HAGL Club's Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh and Team Manager Nguyen Tan Anh, who arbitrarily stormed into the referees' room to hurl insults and abuse at the refereeing team officiating the match between HAGL and Hong Linh Ha Tinh on April 18th, has seriously damaged the image of the V-League tournament.

The behavior of Mr. Vu Tien Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh drew criticism from the audience. Previously, in a match in Round 19 of the V-League 2024-2025 held at Pleiku Stadium, the HAGL coaching staff fiercely criticized the referees for not recognizing their team's goal. In fact, before midfielder Minh Vuong scored, his teammate Dung Quang Nho had made contact with the supporting leg of defender Tan Tai of Ha Tinh, so the decision to disallow the goal by referee Tran Ngoc Anh was considered correct.

After reviewing the match report from the supervisory team and analyzing the video footage, on April 21, the Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) issued Decision No. 286/QD-LDBDVN and Decision No. 287/QD-LDBDVN regarding disciplinary action against Mr. Vu Tien Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh.

Specifically, due to their reactionary behavior, insults, and offensive remarks towards the referees that seriously affected the overall image of the tournament, Mr. Vu Tien Thanh was fined 20 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 4 matches. Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh was fined 15 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 3 matches. Both have the right to appeal to the VFF Appeals Committee in accordance with the VFF Disciplinary Regulations.
