The incident of Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh and Head of Delegation Nguyen Tan Anh of HAGL Club arbitrarily barging into the referee room to insult and insult the referee team in charge of the match between HAGL and Hong Linh Ha Tinh on April 18 has seriously affected the image of the V-League tournament.

The behavior of Mr. Vu Tien Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh was criticized by the audience. Previously, in the match of round 19 of V-League 2024-2025 held at Pleiku Stadium, the coaching staff of HAGL Club strongly criticized the referee team for not recognizing the home team's goal. In fact, before midfielder Minh Vuong scored, teammate Dung Quang Nho had impacted the supporting leg of defender Tan Tai of Ha Tinh, so the decision not to recognize the goal by the main referee Tran Ngoc Anh was considered correct.

After reviewing the match report from the monitoring team and analyzing the video tape, on April 21, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Disciplinary Board issued Decision No. 286/QD-LDBĐVN and Decision No. 287/QD-LDBĐVN on disciplining Mr. Vu Tien Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh.

Specifically, due to his behavior of reacting, insulting, and offending the referee team, which seriously affected the overall image of the tournament, Mr. Vu Tien Thanh had to pay a fine of 20 million VND and was suspended from duty for the next 4 matches. Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh was fined 15 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 3 matches. Both have the right to appeal to the VFF Complaints Resolution Board according to the provisions of the VFF Disciplinary Regulations.
