The "Godmother" program and the "Lighting Up the Future" fund are deeply humane activities that uphold the traditions of the Vietnamese nation and Vietnamese women in general, and women of the ancestral land in particular. They demonstrate compassion and tolerance, providing orphaned children with opportunities for self-development and motivation to strive for a better life. After nearly two years of implementation, the "Godmother" program and the "Lighting Up the Future" fund of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association have mobilized and sponsored 27 orphaned children in the province with a total budget of nearly 800 million VND.
Currently, 20 children are continuing to receive support until they reach the age of 18. Besides financial assistance, the mothers also organize many activities to care for the children's mental well-being, such as giving gifts on holidays and organizing family meals. During the past school year, 100% of the children achieved good conduct grades, 10 children received excellent, good, or fair grades, 1 child passed the university entrance exam, and 2 children passed the entrance exam to public high schools.
Leaders of the Provincial Business Association presented gifts to support the Godmother Program and the Lighting Up the Future Fund of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association.
Leaders of the Provincial Association of Small and Medium Enterprises presented gifts to support the program.
This is clear evidence of the sustainable effectiveness of the loving and humane "lighting up the future" journey. At the program, many organizations, businesses, and individuals directly presented symbolic checks to support the program financially; mothers also donated funds to support their children in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, demonstrating their long-term commitment to disadvantaged children; and awards were presented to 22 students who achieved high academic results in the 2024-2025 school year.
Leaders of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and delegates attending the event took a photo with the children sponsored by the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association.
In the former Phu Tho province, 1,447 orphaned children were sponsored materially and spiritually by women's association members. The various levels of the association connected with and sponsored 440 children in difficult circumstances with a total budget of nearly 5 billion VND (support ranging from 500,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND per month per child; financial support for education from 3 to 5 million VND per school year until the age of 18; and savings accounts from 10 to 50 million VND). |
