Godmother - lighting up the future

On August 2, the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association organized the program “Godmothers - Light up the Future”, met to commend and reward children with academic and training achievements in the 2024-2025 school year and gave gifts on the occasion of the new school year. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Provincial Women's Union, Business Association, Provincial Small and Medium Enterprises Association, businesses, entrepreneurs and 22 sponsored children with their relatives.

Introducing two mother and son pairs: Godmother Nguyen Thi Tam, son Nguyen Duy Hieu and godmother Le Thi Luong, son Trieu Nguyen Minh Hoang.

At the program, delegates witnessed the introduction of two pairs of mother and son: Godmother Nguyen Thi Tam - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Vietnam High-Tech Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, adopted the second child, Nguyen Duy Hieu - born on July 28, 2012, address in Zone 6, Phu Ninh Commune, orphaned father, very difficult circumstances with a support period of 53 months, support level of 500,000 VND/month, total cost of 26.5 million VND and godmother Le Thi Luong - Chairwoman of the Board of Members - Director of Khanh Mai Trading Co., Ltd. adopted the third child, Trieu Nguyen Minh Hoang - born on May 4, 2012, address in Zone 7, Hung Son Town - Lam Thao 9 (old), support period of 52 months, support level of 500,000 VND/month, total cost of 26 million VND.

The program "Godmother", "Light up the future" fund is a deeply humane activity, promoting the tradition of the Vietnamese people, of Vietnamese women in general, and women of the Ancestral Land in particular, demonstrating compassion and tolerance so that orphans have the conditions to develop themselves, creating motivation for them to rise up in life. After nearly 2 years of implementation, the program "Godmother", "Light up the future" fund of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association has mobilized and sponsored 27 orphans in the province with a total budget of nearly 800 million VND.

There are currently 20 children who continue to receive support until they turn 18. In addition to funding, mothers also organize many activities to take care of their children's mental health, such as giving gifts on holidays, organizing family meals... In the past school year, 100% of the children achieved good conduct, 10 children achieved excellent, good, and fair titles, 1 child passed the university entrance exam, and 2 children passed the entrance exam to public grade 10.

Leaders of the Provincial Business Association presented gifts to support the Godmother program and the Light Up the Future Fund of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association.

Leaders of the Provincial Association of Small and Medium Enterprises presented gifts to support the program.

This is a clear demonstration of the sustainable effectiveness of the loving and humane journey of "lighting up the future". At the program, many organizations, businesses and individuals directly presented symbolic boards to support the program's funding, and mothers presented funds to support their children in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, demonstrating their long-term support for children in difficult circumstances; at the same time, the organization awarded prizes to 22 students with high academic results in the 2024-2025 school year.

In the old Phu Tho province, there were 1,447 orphans sponsored by women's union members in terms of material and spiritual matters. The union at all levels connected and sponsored 440 children in difficult circumstances with a total budget of nearly 5 billion VND (support level from 500,000 VND - 1,000,000 VND/month/child; support for study expenses from 3 - 5 million VND/school year until age 18; giving savings books from 10 - 50 million VND).
