My hometown is not a lush orchard surrounded by ancient houses or vast rice fields. It is simply a small hamlet located on the sandy coast of the sea.
There, I spent my childhood years with unforgettable memories. With the fresh early mornings, when the sun just began to appear, dispelling the thin layer of mist covering the green wild grass around the house. With the summer noons when the scorching sunlight penetrated the rows of trees growing around the small hamlet, creating shadows along the country path. The evenings with the sound of insects chirping and playing a song intertwined with each other. All created a peaceful countryside next to the East Sea.
Every time I return to my hometown, I feel like I am returning to a peaceful world filled with the taste of my hometown. In the sound of cicadas chirping among the trees, I walk on the deserted sandy road, in the distance are the waves of white reed grass that seem to paint a magical picture in the corner of the countryside sky. For me at this moment, this is not just a simple country road, but also a road that leads me along the countryside path back to my memories.
Following the country road back to the land of memories, I know that every step is a long journey of life, and memories of my homeland will always be a source of encouragement and invisible strength to help me overcome all difficulties on the road ahead.
These steps are not random but a purposeful journey of the soul, a return to immerse in the sweet memories of childhood. Moments of long sunny summer days, my dear friends and I ran and jumped on the golden sand dunes, happily playing with the sound of laughter. Then there were times when we sat peacefully with stories that drifted along with the fading afternoon sunlight behind the trees on the other side of the sand dunes.
Looking at the picture of my homeland, I feel the peace and serenity covering every corner of time. The peaceful space, the gentle breeze carrying the scent of flowers and grass, the sounds of nature like gentle melodies that melt my heart. These are the pieces of the happy picture that I have drawn and stored in my soul in the memory compartment.
From the rustic “five ten” games of childhood, simple tug of war games to the bustling football matches on the sand dunes. So many joys, smiles and drops of sweat on innocent faces, all are unforgettable memories of every child growing up in the countryside.
Even though I have been away from home for a long time, those memories still live in my mind. Today, they are like a door of time opening, giving me a chance to return to my childhood to feel the taste of my homeland once again.
And then the countryside gradually changed, the modern world swept away traditional values. The countryside now became urbanized, the country roads became modern concrete roads. The old memories gradually faded. But they still live forever in the souls of those who reminisce, like an endless source of inspiration bringing us back to ourselves.
And no matter how many ups and downs there are in life, no matter how many changes there are around us, the countryside will always be a support, a place we return to to renew our souls. Because the countryside is not only where we were born and raised, but also where the deep love in our hearts is attached.
When we are tired, when we encounter worries in life, we always look back to warm memories of our hometown. That is a source of encouragement, a source of positive energy to help us overcome all difficulties.
Standing in the middle of the peaceful countryside, I understand that no matter how many years pass, no matter how many hardships and difficulties, the homeland is always the destination of every road, the endless source of inspiration for us to continue to walk steadily in this life. Then, when we return, we will always be welcomed by sweet memories of boundless love for our homeland.
Memories of the countryside are not only images and sounds but also deep emotions in the heart, it is the place where we were nurtured and grew up. Even though we have left our homeland, remembering it is always a source of encouragement, a solid support to help us overcome all difficulties and challenges in modern life.
Going back to the countryside to find yourself, to find happiness with family and loved ones.
