Lionel Messi is enjoying a new chapter in his career at Inter Miami. The Argentine forward shared that he feels much more peaceful and comfortable since moving to the United States to play.

Recently, in an interview on LuzuTV, Messi shared his thoughts on the biggest difference between life in Miami and his long time with Barca. He said that the environment in America has given him a sense of relaxation he hadn't felt in many years.

According to Messi, one of the main reasons he feels happy is that football is not the sole focus of American society. This allows him to live a normal life, away from the constant pressures he faced when he was in Spain.

"In America, I have a peaceful life. In Miami, people live differently and don't place as much emphasis on football as they did at Barca. People are used to that," the Argentine superstar shared.

This very difference has allowed the owner of eight Ballon d'Or awards to maintain simple habits such as going to training, spending quality time with family, and meeting friends without excessive media scrutiny.

Besides enjoying the present, Messi has also begun considering his future after his playing contract ends. Instead of pursuing a coaching career like many of his colleagues, the Argentinian player has expressed particular interest in a managerial role and owning a team.

Messi revealed: "I don't like being a coach, but I'm interested in the management aspect. I want to have my own club, starting from the ground up, creating opportunities for the younger generation to develop and turning it into a great team."

Since joining Inter Miami in the summer of 2023, Lionel Messi has transformed a fledgling team into a powerhouse of American soccer.

The Argentinian superstar helped his team win the 2025 MLS Cup (the most prestigious club title in the US). Prior to that, he helped Inter Miami win their first-ever Leagues Cup in 2023 and the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield.

The 38-year-old striker also holds the record for the most goals scored in Inter Miami's history.
