The artworks, whether they are lines carved into wood grain, changes on metal surfaces through acid reactions, or layers of color on lithographs, through the artistic language of painters from the early 20th century to contemporary artists, have offered viewers a journey through various emotional "realms" with many themes arranged in a linear sequence of time.
First, "Remaining Memories" introduces works about the history of the resistance war, created during and after the resistance war – a period when each work was not merely a transmission of art but also one of the weapons of struggle on the cultural front.
With the theme "Places I've Visited," viewers have the opportunity to admire the nation's typical cultural heritage from a different perspective. The same old streets, temples, festivals, and familiar landmarks across the country are depicted, but through the artists' artistic expression, viewers feel a deeper connection to the layers of emotion in the paintings. Perhaps this is also part of what contributes to the cultural depth in each artwork.
