In his opening remarks on the afternoon of December 8th, Dr. Vu Manh Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum – emphasized that on the journey to find a way to save the country, under the light of the Russian October Revolution, and directly Lenin's VI Theses on the National and Colonial Question, Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh chose and led the Vietnamese revolution along the path of the October Revolution.
He came to the Soviet Union to live, study, and engage in revolutionary activities, thereby forging close comradeships with the leaders of the Party, State, and people of the Soviet Union.
Following the path of the October Revolution, President Ho Chi Minh founded the Communist Party of Vietnam, leading the Vietnamese people in the struggle for national liberation and establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Since Vietnam gained independence in 1945, President Ho Chi Minh, in his capacity as President , visited the Soviet Union many times.

Through those visits, he gained a clear understanding of the achievements of the Soviet Union in the process of building socialism and promoting cooperative relations.
From then on, the Vietnamese revolution always received the sincere and heartfelt support and assistance of the Party, Government, and people of the Soviet Union, gradually completing the national democratic revolution and advancing towards building socialism.
Dr. Vu Manh Ha stated that the exhibition introduces to the public the journey tracing the revolutionary footsteps of Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh in Russia during the years 1923-1924, 1927, and 1934-1938 when he traveled extensively seeking a way to save the country, as well as the journey tracing the footprints of friendship that President Ho Chi Minh, in his capacity as President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), left throughout the vast Soviet Union.
President Ho Chi Minh's footprints in the homeland of the October Revolution are clear evidence of the friendship between the two countries, reflecting his affection for the Russian people as well as the people of the member states of the Soviet Union, writing beautiful stories of loyal and steadfast friendship, always supporting and standing side by side in the revolutionary cause and nation-building.
