At that moment, I suddenly remembered a friend who once said that waking up each morning in your own bed, under your familiar warm blankets, instead of in a hospital, on the cold ground, or even "sleeping" forever… that is already a blessing in life. So don't constantly complain about your suffering. If you look down, you'll see many people who suffer far more. Just look around, and you'll easily encounter many people like yourself, constantly frowning, tired, irritable, annoyed, grumpy… Quite a few negative adjectives, so we tend to think that if we look up, they don't suffer! In reality, even the rich suffer. Big ships face big waves; sometimes their houses, land, assets, luxury cars… you see, but they're all mortgaged. Even in their wallets, that expensive designer wallet or the handbag you've always dreamed of, there's not a single penny worth!
The rich experience hardships that "ordinary people" like us often don't fully understand, feel, or imagine. So we just think that our suffering is due to our poverty, and that's it. I know some people who often say, "I don't know when life will end in suffering." Then, when life takes an unexpected turn and things aren't smooth sailing anymore, they'll reflect: It turns out that the ordinary, even commonplace life they once had wasn't really suffering. They just thought it was suffering, that it wasn't worth anything, until even that ordinariness is gone, only then do they realize its value, appreciate it, and feel a deep sense of regret.
It's fortunate if we understand that we're not suffering, and we stop complaining. Stop uttering that common phrase, not because you're afraid it will affect you, but because complaining doesn't improve your life at all. Only when your heart is focused on bright, positive, and joyful things will your life receive good energy, luck, and happiness. It's like getting what you wish for. Although there are no official statistics or studies on this, after many experiences, you'll agree that those who complain less are more likely to succeed than those who constantly grumble and blame fate. Because instead of blaming destiny and complaining about your own suffering, wouldn't it be better to spend that time working, studying, and improving your own life?
When we complain about our troubles, others suffer, but we ourselves may not necessarily be suffering! People suffer because they have to listen to us complain so much; they suffer too much, right? I hope you'll only listen this once, and then proactively, gently, and optimistically remove the word "suffering" from your life's vocabulary. I believe that's also a simple way for you and me to live more peacefully each day.
