On the afternoon of September 19, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province held a summary of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province, emphasized that eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task, demonstrating the profound humanistic value and special attention of the Party and State to the people, especially housing for people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households.
He said that the results of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses have created motivation, inspiration and a vibrant competitive atmosphere among all levels, sectors, localities, business communities and people.
Each house is a gift expressing national love and compatriotism; affirming the humanistic values and fine moral traditions of our nation, ensuring the basic right to housing of citizens; contributing to promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc.
With the drastic participation of the entire political system, the consensus and active participation of people, businesses, and philanthropists, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province was completed on schedule.
As of August 31, Lam Dong province has completed all 5,691 houses as planned (4,328 new houses, 1,363 houses repaired). Of these, 429 households are people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs; 1,118 poor households, near-poor households, ethnic minorities benefiting from capital sources of national target programs; 3,862 poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Prime Minister and 282 poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty are supported by socialized funding sources and other legal sources.
The total cost of the program is over 324 billion VND. Of which, the State budget is over 106 billion VND, the rest is mobilized from philanthropists, businesses inside and outside the province, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
At the conference, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province expressed gratitude to the units and businesses that supported the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to 27 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025.
