The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decisions on the organization of the allocation of import tariff quotas for sugar in 2025.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Decision No. 2260/QD-BCT on the quantity, timing, and method of allocating sugar import tariff quotas in 2025 and Decision No. 2259/QD-BCT on the establishment of the Council for allocating sugar import tariff quotas by auction in 2025.

Pursuant to the Law on Foreign Trade Management (2017), pursuant to Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and Circular No. 11/2022/TT-BCT dated June 27, 2022 of the Minister of Industry and Trade regulating the allocation of import tariff quotas for sugar products by auction method, based on the opinions of the Ministries: Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and Ministry of Finance, on September 15, 2025, the Minister of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2260/QD-BCT on the quantity, time and method of allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2025 and Decision No. 2259/QD-BCT on the establishment of the Council for allocating import tariff quotas for sugar in 2025 by auction method.

To implement the above Decisions, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to deploy necessary tasks to organize the allocation of import tariff quotas for sugar in 2025.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade informs relevant Associations, traders, organizations and individuals to know and implement./.
