Leaders of the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association, experts, researchers, over 100 members of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club - Ho Chi Minh City, and those interested in the Ao Dai heritage attended the seminar.
On the morning of September 19, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club – Ho Chi Minh City ( thuộc the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association) organized a seminar with the theme “Vietnamese Ao Dai - An Enduring Heritage”.
The program is not only a gathering place for those who love the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), but it also opens up many touching stories connected to the heritage, while raising the question: how can the ao dai continue to be present and continue to inspire in today's fast-paced life?
The seminar provided an opportunity to share stories associated with the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), while also prompting a question for all of us: how can the ao dai continue to be present and inspire in today's fast-paced life?
The seminar was attended by Dr. Dang Thi Bich Lien – former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association; the Vice Presidents of the Association: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, Ms. Khuc Thi Dau, along with many experts, researchers and more than 100 members of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club – Ho Chi Minh City.
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, each memory and story shared served as an affirmation: the ao dai is not just clothing, but also a living heritage, a source of national pride and identity.

Director Nguyen Xuan Phuong and Dr. Ly Thi Mai – Vice President of the Vietnam Costume Research Institute – offer multifaceted perspectives, ranging from research to practice, from tradition to modernity.
Their moving stories offer insights into how today's younger generation can continue the journey of preserving and honoring the enduring value of the ao dai.
Speaking at the seminar, Ms. Phung Thi Thu Thuy – President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club of Ho Chi Minh City, and Vice President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association – emphasized that the ao dai has blended with the flow of Vietnamese culture, becoming a garment embodying the soul and pride of the nation. According to her, this seminar offers the public a new perspective on the cultural value and heritage of the ao dai in contemporary life.
From cherished memories to future directions, the seminar "Vietnamese Ao Dai - An Enduring Heritage" has contributed to enriching the community's affection, knowledge, and connection with the ao dai. It's not just the story of one generation, but a shared aspiration: to keep the ao dai intact in the hearts of Vietnamese people, continuing to spread love of this heritage to future generations.
