Three reasons why Duc Phuc won the 2025 Intervision International Music Competition

On the evening of September 20, at Live Arena - the most modern performance center in Europe, the final round of the Intervision 2025 International Music Competition ended with the resounding cheers of thousands of spectators. Vietnam's representative - singer Duc Phuc excellently won the championship with an explosive performance of "Phu Dong Thien Vuong".

This is the first time Vietnam has had a representative attend and win the Intervision 2025 International Music Competition. To prepare for this event, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directly directed the selection of national representatives.

Intervision 2025 is an international music competition held in Russia after a hiatus of more than 30 years. The final round took place on September 20 at Live Arena, on the outskirts of Moscow. This year, 23 countries participated, including Vietnam, represented by singer Duc Phuc.

Appearing in 20th place, Duc Phuc and his dance troupe captivated the audience with the performance "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" (composer Ho Hoai Anh). Opening with the poem "Vietnamese Bamboo" by Nguyen Duy: "Green bamboo, evergreen/ The story of the old days when there was a green bamboo bank...", the performance led the audience from the image of a resilient bamboo tree to the symbol of Saint Giong riding an iron horse to fly to heaven.

The entire lighting effects, choreography with traditional bamboo props and mats were skillfully coordinated with modern rhythms. The rap in three languages: Vietnamese, English and Russian sent a strong message: "Today we make history together."

When the final scoreboard appeared, the whole Live Arena exploded. Vietnam won 422 points, far surpassing Kyrgyzstan (373 points) and Qatar (369 points) to step up to the championship title.

The moment Duc Phuc and his crew hugged each other and burst into happiness, the red flag with yellow star fluttering on the giant LED screen, became the most emotional highlight of the final night.
