The beach is a 3.5-hour drive from Hanoi and is praised by guests as an ideal camping spot.

In early September, Mr. Hoang Tu and his wife, Ms. Bich Huyen ( Hanoi ), took their 4 children (17, 14, 8 and 5 years old) camping for 2 days and 1 night along the Thanh Hoa coast, enjoying the cool weather of early autumn.

The location chosen by the family of 6 is Hai Linh beach (Hai Linh ward), more than 200km from Hanoi.

"In the summer, when the children have a long break, we often go on long trips . Now that the school year is in full swing, I prioritize nearby locations that are convenient and easy to travel to so that the children don't get tired but can still rest and relax. From Hanoi to Hai Linh beach is only about 3-3.5 hours," said Ms. Huyen.

Hanoi family chooses camping at Hai Linh beach

Hai Linh beach is only 40km from Sam Son beach, a destination that retains many wild features with long rows of casuarina trees, a wide and gentle sandy beach, and clear water. In early autumn, the beach is deserted so the space is quiet and peaceful.

Ms. Huyen said this was the first time her family camped overnight at Hai Linh beach.

"My friend once introduced me to Hai Linh beach, but when I got there, I was still quite surprised because the beach was beautiful, the water was clear, the sand was gentle, and it was safe for children to play and swim.

The sea in early autumn is cool and chilly in the morning and at night, suitable for camping. It is still hot at noon but sitting under the casuarina trees is comfortable. At this time, the children can take advantage of swimming," said Ms. Huyen.

The beach is long, wide and gentle, very ideal for children to play.

Ms. Huyen’s family chose to camp in the premises of a restaurant by the sea. This place provides food, shower, toilet services for visitors and tent rental.

The beach is not too far from residential areas and local markets, so it is convenient for tourists to shop.

Wishing to relax after a stressful week of work and study, Huyen's family members and friends mainly go for walks, sightsee, and swim.

Children enjoy playing in the sand and swimming on the beach.

In the evening, the whole family gathers to grill seafood BBQ and make coffee, enjoy it while watching the sea, listening to the sound of the waves, enjoying the fresh, quiet space, far from the city.

Early the next morning, Huyen and her husband woke up early to watch the sunrise and then went with friends to the wharf to buy seafood that fishermen had just caught. "The seafood here is very fresh, reasonably priced, mostly grouper, herring, shrimp, and squid. The nearby market also has mackerel, eel, snails, frogs... Tourists can buy them and cook them themselves, both delicious and cheap," said Huyen.

Ms. Huyen also rated the food at the restaurant as reasonably priced. With 2 million VND, 3 families could enjoy a delicious meal including grilled grouper - salad - steamed with soy sauce, shrimp, squid, soup, and green vegetables.

Romantic sunrise on Hai Linh beach

Currently, in the Hai Linh beach area, there are some restaurants that offer camping rental services. In addition to swimming, visitors can participate in sports activities such as SUP and beach volleyball.

Local authorities are also promoting investment in infrastructure and services to enrich the experiences for tourists, while ensuring the preservation of the natural beauty of this beach.
