Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th is an occasion for society to express gratitude to teachers and educational administrators. They have been sowing the seeds of knowledge, nurturing character, and building the foundation for the country's future. It is also a time for every organization, agency, business, and parent to reflect on their duty and responsibility towards the development of national education and human resources.

Within this broader context, the STEM Innovation Program of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation ( Petrovietnam ) stands out as a shining example of strategic partnership between businesses and education, science and technology, and innovation.

Despite being a relatively new program with tight deadlines, guided by the spirit of "Rapid - Standardized - Sustainable," Petrovietnam's STEM Innovation labs were designed and equipped with advanced equipment such as interactive whiteboards, AI-IoT systems, VEX robotics, 3D printers, CNC cutting machines, and energy-environment themed experiment kits. The models were standardized according to FabLab, NGSS, ISTE, CSTA standards and the 2018 general education curriculum.

Equipped with modern facilities, Petrovietnam's STEM Innovation classrooms are designed to organize innovative STEM education activities, promote scientific and technological research, and build a STEM ecosystem that fosters career guidance, entrepreneurship, and professional experiences aligned with Industry 4.0.

STEM rooms are fully equipped with six functional blocks including facilities, specialized processing machinery and equipment, thematic learning tools and equipment, smart connected learning materials, hard copy and soft copy learning materials systems, and record-keeping systems.

The program also includes training and professional development for teachers and teaching staff across four modules. Teachers are trained and guided in mastering modern teaching equipment and technologies, including IoT, AI, robotics, digital transformation, and smart classrooms; they learn how to develop STEM lessons/topics based on interdisciplinary, single-subject, research, and project-based approaches; and they learn how to organize STEM educational activities oriented towards innovation, creativity, career guidance, entrepreneurship, and career experiences in the Industry 4.0 era.

Notably, the Petrovietnam STEM Innovation program originated from an idea by General Secretary To Lam. The General Secretary, along with other Party and State leaders, directly launched the program on September 21, 2025. This is a large-scale educational project aimed at upgrading educational infrastructure and supporting the training of young people with skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, meeting the country's requirements for developing high-quality human resources.

According to the plan, by the end of 2025, Petrovietnam will deploy three STEM classrooms in each province and city, built to international standards, connecting localities and internationally, initially with the education and training system of Singapore.

With such a design, STEM Innovation Petrovietnam is a gift that provides modern teaching tools, creating more interest and innovation in teaching and learning methods. This gift is even more valuable when placed in the context of Vietnam's strong implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology and innovation to serve the rapid and sustainable development of the country.

For students, STEM Innovation Petrovietnam gives them the "key" to unlock the door to science and technology in an accessible and engaging way. These special classrooms contribute to fostering creative thinking in young people.

When students experience technical solutions, practice simulations, or design their own processing and control systems, they learn more than just knowledge: they learn to think scientifically and flexibly. This is precisely what the Party's resolutions, especially Resolution 57, aim to build: a knowledge-based society where innovation becomes a natural capacity of every citizen.

From a broader perspective, STEM Innovation clearly demonstrates Petrovietnam's corporate social responsibility. The corporation chooses to invest in knowledge – a form of investment that is both sustainable and has long-term value.

That's why STEM Innovation Petrovietnam is not just a program, but a thank you through knowledge that Petrovietnam sends to the education sector on Teacher Appreciation Day. The lessons students learn today could be the foundation for engineers, scientists, or energy experts 10 or 20 years from now. These small STEM projects could become technological solutions in the future.

Along with beautiful flowers and heartfelt wishes, we hope that STEM Innovation Petrovietnam will be a gift of lasting, modern, and valuable knowledge. Petrovietnam has chosen a special way to express its gratitude, not only to the teachers but also to the entire education system, through concrete contributions to shaping the scientific and technological mindset of future generations.
