A Vietlott customer won the jackpot of over 21 billion VND.

The Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) announced that in the 266th draw of the Lotto 5/35 lottery held last night (November 8th), the Vietlott Lottery Council determined that one ticket won the jackpot worth 21,373,052,500 VND (nearly 21.4 billion VND).

The winning numbers in yesterday's 266th draw of the Lotto 5/35 lottery were 06 - 07 - 20 - 23 - 34, and the special number was 03.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance in Circular No. 111/2013/TT-BTC, the lucky customer who won the Lotto 5/35 jackpot will have to pay 10% personal income tax. Therefore, after deducting personal income tax, the amount this person will receive is over 19.2 billion VND.

Besides the jackpot worth nearly 21.4 billion VND, in the 266th draw of the Lotto 5/35 lottery held yesterday, Vietlott also found 5 winners of the first prize, each worth 10 million VND; 79 winners of the second prize, each worth 5 million VND; 690 winners of the third prize, each worth 500,000 VND; 1,938 winners of the fourth prize, each worth 100,000 VND; 22,034 winners of the fifth prize, each worth 30,000 VND; and 143,359 winners of the consolation prize, each worth 10,000 VND.

On June 29th, Vietlott launched its Lotto 5/35 self-selection lottery product. With two draws daily at 1 PM and 9 PM, this type of lottery offers the chance to win the jackpot twice a day, continuously for 7 days a week.

Lotto 5/35 has a total of 7 prize categories, with the jackpot starting at 6 billion VND and continuing to accumulate through subsequent draws if no one wins.

The distinguishing feature of this lottery product is its jackpot distribution mechanism. When the accumulated jackpot reaches 12 billion VND and there is still no winner, Vietlott will distribute the prize in the draw at 9 PM the following day (the prize distribution round), provided that there have been no jackpot winners in all previous draws.

In terms of gameplay, Lotto 5/35 allows players to choose 5 numbers from the set of 01 to 35, along with a special number from 01 to 12, to form a sequence of numbers for the draw, with a value of 10,000 VND per set. Additionally, players can choose to play multiple sets of numbers to increase the number of sets participating in the draw.

Matching just one special number earns players a consolation prize of 10,000 VND. For other prize categories, such as matching 3, 4, or 5 main numbers, the rewards increase from tens of thousands to tens of millions of VND. Matching all 5 main numbers and the special number simultaneously wins the cumulative jackpot, starting at 6 billion VND.
