A Vietlott customer won the jackpot of more than 21 billion

Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) informed that at the 266th drawing of Lotto 5/35 lottery which took place last night (November 8), Vietlott's Drawing Council determined that 1 lottery ticket won the jackpot prize worth 21,373,052,500 VND (nearly 21.4 billion VND).

The lucky numbers in the 266th draw of Lotto 5/35 yesterday were 06 - 07 - 20 - 23 - 34 and the special number was 03.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance in Circular No. 111/2013/TT-BTC, the lucky customer who won the Lotto 5/35 jackpot will have to pay 10% personal income tax. Thus, after deducting personal income tax, the amount of money this person receives is more than 19.2 billion VND.

In addition to the jackpot prize worth nearly 21.4 billion VND, in the 266th drawing of Lotto 5/35 lottery held yesterday, Vietlott also found 5 winners of first prizes each worth 10 million VND, 79 winners of second prizes each worth 5 million VND, 690 winners of third prizes each worth 500,000 VND, 1,938 winners of fourth prizes worth 100,000 VND/prize, 22,034 winners of fifth prizes worth 30,000 VND/prize and 143,359 winners of consolation prizes worth 10,000 VND/prize.

On June 29, Vietlott launched the Lotto 5/35 lottery product. With two draws each day at 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., this type offers the chance to win the jackpot twice a day, 7 days a week.

Lotto 5/35 has a total of 7 prize categories, of which the jackpot prize starts at 6 billion VND and will continue to accumulate through the draws if no one wins.

The difference of this lottery product is the mechanism of dividing the jackpot. When the accumulated jackpot reaches 12 billion VND and there is still no winner, Vietlott will divide the prize in the drawing at 9:00 p.m. the next day (prize division period), on the condition that there is no jackpot winner in the drawing.

In terms of gameplay, Lotto 5/35 allows players to choose 5 numbers from the set of 01 to 35, along with a special number from 01 to 12 to create a series of winning numbers with a value of 10,000 VND/set. In addition, players can choose to play multiple sets of numbers to increase the number of participating numbers.

By matching just one special number, players can receive a consolation prize worth 10,000 VND. For other prize categories such as matching 3 main numbers, 4 main numbers or 5 main numbers, the prize will increase from tens of thousands to tens of millions of VND. In the case of matching 5 main numbers and 1 special number at the same time, players will win the cumulative jackpot, starting from 6 billion VND.
