The Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to closely follow the province's key tasks to develop its action plan.

On the morning of January 5th, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held its 12th conference to summarize the Front's work in 2023 and agree on the action program for 2024.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Dinh Gia, and leaders of various departments and agencies attended the conference.

In 2023, with the attention and guidance of Party committees at all levels, and the close coordination of the government and various departments and organizations, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage the people to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns through appropriate and flexible forms, achieving many positive results.

Throughout the year, the people have been mobilized to donate thousands of ^square meters of land, tens of billions of dong, and hundreds of thousands of man-days of labor... to serve the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

The "House of Wisdom" model continues to be implemented, yielding tangible results and enriching the spiritual lives of the people. In 2023, Ha Tinh launched 46 models, bringing the total number of models built throughout the province to 150.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau informed the delegates about the outstanding achievements of the province in 2023 in the fields of economy , society, national defense and security, education, health, etc.; the progress of key projects; some outstanding issues at the grassroots level; and the orientation of some key tasks for all levels and sectors in the coming period.

The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have proactively and flexibly mobilized over 157 billion VND to support the "For the Poor" Fund and social welfare sources. From this fund, financial assistance has been provided for building new houses, repairing existing ones, improving livelihoods, giving Tet gifts, providing emergency support, providing health insurance cards, medical examinations and treatment, and supporting poor students who excel in their studies, benefiting thousands of people. They have also mobilized over 2 billion VND to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households in Dien Bien province and some other provinces in the Northwest region.

In 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front mobilized resources and coordinated support for the construction of 2,486 houses worth nearly 180 billion VND; and supported the construction of 9 community cultural centers that also served as shelters from storms and floods, worth 18 billion VND.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also proactively developed and implemented plans for social monitoring and criticism; mobilized the people to carry out land clearance work for the implementation of the North-South expressway project; regularly monitored the situation, coordinated and participated in resolving issues causing public discontent and pressing social issues...

Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Nhat Tan requested that units focus on effectively implementing key tasks in 2024; and successfully organize the Fatherland Front congresses at all levels for the 2024-2029 term.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee's coordinated and unified action program for 2024 identifies the following key areas: organizing the Vietnam Fatherland Front congresses at all levels and implementing the congress resolutions; and mobilizing the people to actively participate in movements and campaigns.

Further enhance the role of social supervision and criticism; participate in building a clean and strong Party and State; strengthen international solidarity and people's diplomacy; continue to consolidate the organization, innovate the content and methods, and improve the effectiveness of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's activities to meet the requirements of the new period.

At the conference, delegates participated in discussions and contributed many ideas to improve the effectiveness of the Fatherland Front's work; proposing solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles in practical activities at the local level. The conference also conducted consultations to add 3 members to the Ha Tinh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 14th term, 2019-2024.

In his address to the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Fatherland Front at all levels over the past year; affirming that the Fatherland Front at all levels has made important contributions to the effective implementation of social welfare work and the successful fulfillment of the province's political tasks.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the coming period, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee should closely follow the province's key programs to determine the most realistic tasks for 2024 and for the 2024-2029 term of the Fatherland Front Congress; continue to innovate the content and methods of the Fatherland Front's activities; and clearly demonstrate the role and stance of the Fatherland Front at meetings of People's Councils at all levels to effectively and promptly reflect the opinions of the people.

Launch and implement campaigns and emulation movements effectively and practically; mobilize the people to play a leading role in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, cultural life, and sustainable poverty reduction... Strengthen activities to care for the poor, effectively implement social security programs; find solutions to support livelihoods, long-term employment, and stable income...

The Vietnam Fatherland Front must further enhance its role in social supervision and criticism; organize dialogues and effectively and promptly resolve recommendations after dialogues; closely monitor public opinion and the thoughts of the people. It must mobilize all sectors of the population to agree with and effectively implement land clearance for key projects in the area.

Prepare well the content and guidelines for organizing the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term; advise on focusing on personnel work of the Fatherland Front at all levels in conjunction with the personnel orientation for the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

At the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung and leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented the Prime Minister's commendation certificate to one individual; commendation certificates from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to 12 collectives and 4 individuals; and "Outstanding Emulation Flags" and commendation certificates from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to 6 collectives for their outstanding achievements in front work in 2023.
