(Baohatinh.vn) - Upon learning that the Burmese python is a rare and endangered animal that needs protection, Mr. Phan Van Dao, residing in Phu Dong village, Loc Ha commune (Ha Tinh province), handed it over to the authorities to be released back into the wild.

On the morning of December 18, 2025, while feeding his cows at home, Mr. Phan Van Dao (born in 1974), residing in Phu Dong village, Loc Ha commune, discovered and captured a python ( scientific name: Python molurus) measuring 1 meter in length and weighing 1.1 kg.

The python was handed over to the Loc Ha Commune Police.

Recognizing that this was an endangered and rare animal in need of protection, Mr. Dao reported it to the Loc Ha commune police to coordinate and hand over the python.

The python weighs 1.1 kg.

After receiving the python in good health, the Loc Ha Commune Police coordinated with the Thach Ha Forest Protection Department to complete the procedures for handing it over to Vu Quang National Park for care and release back into its natural environment.
