Hailstorms accompanied by strong winds damaged more than 80 hectares of plum trees that were about to be harvested in Phiêng Khoài commune, Yên Châu district ( Sơn La province).

According to the People's Committee of Yen Chau district (Son La province), a hailstorm accompanied by strong winds on the night of April 12th, lasting about 30 minutes, occurred in Phieng Khoai commune, causing many plum trees that were preparing for harvest to fall and branches to break.
The most damage was recorded in the villages of Hang Mon 1, Hang Mon 2, and Bo Rom, with approximately 80 hectares affected. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage to houses in this hailstorm.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, the authorities in Yen Chau district, together with the people, assessed and compiled a list of damages. At the same time, they helped people overcome initial damage, and continued to guide them on preventive measures and crop protection in unaffected areas, minimizing potential losses.
