(NLĐO) - On the first day of the new year, Mong Cai Border Gate welcomed 12,186 tourists entering the country to visit Quang Ninh province and Vietnam.
On the morning of January 29th (the first day of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Snake), Mong Cai City ( Quang Ninh province) organized a ceremony to welcome the first tourists of the new year who entered the country through the Mong Cai International Border Gate.

Mr. Hoang Ba Nam, Secretary of the Mong Cai City Party Committee, presented flowers to welcome the first group of visitors.
This morning, Mong Cai City welcomed a group of 350 tourists who completed immigration procedures to enter Vietnam through the Mong Cai International Border Gate.
It is projected that on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), the Mong Cai International Border Gate will see approximately 12,186 tourists entering through Mong Cai City to visit various locations in Quang Ninh province and Vietnam. This promises to be a favorable start for Mong Cai's tourism industry to continue to flourish and make breakthroughs in 2025.

The Secretary of the Mong Cai City Party Committee gave lucky money to tourists to wish them good fortune.

Border authorities from both countries worked throughout the Tet holiday to serve the immigration needs of citizens and tourists. All procedures were carried out by the authorities in accordance with regulations and with specific instructions, creating favorable conditions for tourists to enter the country quickly.
Thanks to numerous efforts, in 2024, Mong Cai City welcomed over 4 million tourists, the highest number ever, further affirming Mong Cai as a green, smart, friendly, and safe tourist city, an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
