My Hanh Trung commune launches advanced new rural commune program.

(ABO) On June 6th, the People's Committee of Cai Lay Town held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province recognizing My Hanh Trung Commune, Cai Lay Town, as having achieved advanced new rural area standards in 2025.

Attending the event were Ms. Tran Thi Be Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province; along with current and former leaders of Cai Lay town and the government of My Hanh Trung commune.

Comrade Tran Thi Be Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province, and Comrade Pham Van Van, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Cai Lay Town Party Committee, presented the Certificate of Recognition for Advanced New Rural Commune and a symbolic plaque for the donation of welfare projects to My Hanh Trung commune.

Over the years, the Party Committee and the government of My Hanh Trung commune have identified the construction of new rural areas as a key task in implementing socio -economic development; paying attention to leading and directing the resolute and synchronized implementation of solutions to carry out the National Target Program for building new rural areas.

After nearly 6 years of effort and striving, My Hanh Trung commune has been recognized by the province as achieving advanced new rural standards, with an average annual income per person reaching 77 million VND, an increase of nearly 32 million VND compared to 2019.

Infrastructure development has always received significant investment, resulting in a much-improved rural landscape that meets people's expectations; and the material living standards of the people have been raised.

In addition, the people contributed to the implementation of rural projects, working together to lay blue stone and upgrade residential roads and alleys; installing lighting systems on the roads, with a total cost of over 2.9 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Cai Lay Town, Tran Van Thuc, requested that the Party Committee, government, and people of My Hanh Trung commune continue to build upon the achievements already made; and at the same time, continue to consolidate and improve the quality of advanced new rural criteria, especially focusing on developing agricultural production, applying high technology, adopting scientific and technical advancements, and linking it with building local product brands…
