The "Denmark Through My Eyes" 2025 painting contest is part of a series of activities leading up to the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Denmark. This contest aims to inspire creativity and raise awareness about protecting a green living environment.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Vibeke Norgaard, Education Counselor at the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, said: "The message we want to spread through this competition is that everyone can contribute to building a more sustainable future — starting today, starting from your home, and starting from you."

“You are the heart of this competition. You have the creativity, imagination, and vision to show us ‘Living Green’ in your own way (...) Tell your story. Share your hopes. Your ideas are important and can inspire how we build a better world ,” emphasized the Education Attaché of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam.

"Living Green" isn't just about big initiatives; it starts with small choices and mindful daily habits: turning off lights when not in use, using reusable shopping bags, walking or cycling short distances, or planting more trees. These small changes, when implemented by many people, create a meaningful and lasting environmental impact.

Through this year's theme, the "Denmark Through My Eyes" drawing contest encourages students to reflect on how to promote positive change for the future of our planet. The contest also serves as a forum for them to express their ideas, aspirations, and commitment to environmental protection.

The Danish Ambassador to Vietnam, Nicolai Prytz, shared that while Vietnamese children expressing green ideas through their drawings may not bring about immediate changes, it is certainly a way for them to express their thoughts and concerns. “This competition is not simply about drawing; it’s also an opportunity for them to unleash their imaginations about a more beautiful world, and to affirm that such a world is entirely possible. I am very excited to see the artworks from students across the country and to share their personal stories about their journey towards a greener lifestyle and protecting the planet,” Ambassador Nicolai Prytz emphasized.
