TPO - The meteorological agency forecasts that the weather in the Southern region of Vietnam during the first week of March will continue to be hot and sunny with no rain. Specifically, from March 5th to 7th, there is a possibility of light showers in some areas, but the rainfall will be insignificant.

According to the Southern Vietnam Regional Meteorological and Hydrological Station, yesterday (March 3), the heatwave subsided in the eastern provinces, with the intensity of the heat decreasing compared to the previous day.

The highest temperatures ranged from 35 to 36 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 36 degrees Celsius, such as Tri An - Dong Nai : 36.7 degrees Celsius, and Phuoc Long - Binh Phuoc: 36.4 degrees Celsius.

The forecast for today (March 4th) and tomorrow indicates continued widespread heatwave conditions in the East and some areas of the West. Some areas in the East will experience intense heat.

The highest temperatures in the eastern region range from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 37 degrees Celsius. In the western region, temperatures can reach 35-36 degrees Celsius in some places. The hottest period of the day is approximately from 12 PM to 4 PM.

According to forecasts from the Southern Vietnam Regional Meteorological and Hydrological Station, during the first week of March, a strong hot low-pressure system from the West will significantly impact the weather in Southern Vietnam from March 3rd to 6th. From March 7th to 10th, the hot low-pressure system will weaken, and a cold front will intensify and shift eastward.

At higher altitudes, the subtropical high-pressure system, with its axis passing through the South Central and Southern regions, remained active almost throughout the week.

The weather forecast for the Southern region of Vietnam during the first week of March predicts hot and dry weather with no rain. However, from March 5th to 7th, there is a possibility of light showers in some areas with negligible rainfall. Minimum temperatures will range from 23-26°C, while maximum temperatures will generally be between 34-36°C in the Eastern part and along the Southwestern border; and 33-35°C in the Western part.

The average temperature this week will be higher than the multi-year average for the same period, ranging from 28.5 to 30 degrees Celsius. The total rainfall in the area this week will be lower than the multi-year average, generally between 0 and 5 mm.
