TPO - The weather agency forecasts that the weather in the Southern region in the first week of March will continue to be hot and sunny, without rain. Particularly on March 5-7, there is a possibility of light showers in some places but the amount of rain is not significant.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, yesterday (March 3), the heat wave narrowed in the eastern provinces with the heat intensity decreasing compared to the previous day.

The highest temperature ranges from 35 - 36 degrees Celsius, some above 36 degrees Celsius such as Tri An - Dong Nai: 36.7 degrees Celsius, Phuoc Long - Binh Phuoc : 36.4 degrees Celsius.

It is forecasted that today (March 4) and tomorrow, heat waves will continue to occur widely in the East and some places in the West. Some places in the East will have severe heat waves.

The highest temperature in the Eastern region is from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius. In the Western region, some places are 35 - 36 degrees Celsius. The hot time during the day is from 12 noon to 4 pm.

In Ho Chi Minh City, today (March 4), there continues to be localized heat. This week, the heat is forecast to expand and increase in intensity in Ho Chi Minh City and the South.

Also according to the forecast from the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in the middle of the first week of March, the hot low pressure in the West will be active and will have a strong impact on the weather in the Southern region from March 3 to 6. From March 7 to 10, the hot low pressure will weaken, and cold air will strengthen and move eastward.

Above, the subtropical high pressure axis passing through the South Central and Southern regions is active almost all week.

The weather forecast for the Southern region in the first week of March is hot and sunny with no rain. On March 5-7, there is a possibility of light showers in some places with insignificant rainfall. The lowest temperature is from 23 - 26 degrees Celsius, the highest is commonly from 34 - 36 degrees Celsius in the East and along the Southwestern border; 33 - 35 degrees Celsius in the West.

The average temperature during the week will be higher than the long-term average (TBNN) for the same period, ranging from 28.5 - 30 degrees Celsius. Total rainfall in the area during the week will be lower than the TBNN, commonly ranging from 0 - 5mm.
