Neymar was officially unveiled as a Santos player by helicopter.

Neymar has reached an agreement to leave Al Hilal after receiving $50 million of his remaining $60 million salary from his contract, which was due to expire on June 30. The 32-year-old Brazilian star has decided to return to Santos, his birthplace and club, on a short-term six-month contract with an option to extend for the following year, according to Globo (Brazil).

Neymar was given a grand unveiling by Santos FC at the Vila Belmiro stadium.

During his previous career playing for Santos, Neymar played from 2009 to 2013, making a total of 225 appearances and scoring 136 goals. This served as a stepping stone for Neymar's move to Europe, where he joined Barcelona on a lucrative four-season contract, before transferring to PSG for a world- record transfer fee of $230 million, a figure that still stands today.

Neymar's career only went downhill when he moved to Al Hilal in August 2023 due to a series of serious injuries. Ultimately, hoping to revive his career, Neymar chose to return to Santos with high expectations for the future.

Neymar was excited for his Santos club debut, returning to the place where he started his career and made his name.

According to Globo, Neymar has returned to Santos on a six-month contract, earning approximately $166,000 per month. However, in return, he will receive 95% of his image rights and commercial income. Therefore, in reality, Neymar earns around half a million dollars per month, including guaranteed revenue from sponsorships and jersey sales.
