In Moscow, the Russian capital, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation solemnly held a ceremony to pay respects and lay flowers at Lenin's Mausoleum on Red Square.
The celebration was attended by all the leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, thousands of party members, members of the Communist Youth League of Russia, representatives of many social organizations and left-wing forces, and a large number of people from the capital and some surrounding areas.
The crowd carried red flags with the hammer and sickle, youth union flags, flags of social organizations, and banners commemorating the career of the proletarian leader. Many young people held up portraits of leader Lenin as they walked alongside their grandparents and parents.
Gennady Zyuganov, Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, led a delegation to lay wreaths at Lenin's Mausoleum and pay respects to the great leader of the working class and the proletariat of the world .
Speaking to the press at the event, Mr. Ziuganov emphasized that leader Vladimir Ilyich Lenin never truly passed away; only his heart stopped beating exactly 100 years ago. Through his leadership, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin transformed a country devastated by World War I into the Soviet Republic.
Today, Lenin's innovative ideas, policies, and tactics have been realized in Russia. Vladimir Ilyich Lenin was a brilliant thinker and politician who laid the groundwork for building a world where labor, not money, reigns supreme, and where everyone is treated equally and respected.
Lenin's ideas on international relations are also a great legacy for the people and humanity. Lenin's Declaration on Peace remains relevant today, even as the world continues to grapple with numerous conflicts.
Many Russians attending the event, young and old, continued to affirm that Lenin was the greatest personality of the 20th century, the leader who successfully led the great October Revolution, liberating the people from oppression and injustice, and building the world's first Soviet state.
