The submarine launched an Oniks cruise missile from underwater, striking a simulated surface vessel approximately 200 kilometers away, the fleet said in a statement on June 3.
Arkhangelsk is the third submarine of Russia's Project 885M Yasen-M, representing an improvement in fourth-generation submarines, becoming increasingly difficult to detect and track with sonar.
The submarine Arkhangelsk has been serving in the Northern Fleet since December 2024.
In addition to Oniks missiles, Yasen-M ships are also equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles and Tsirkon hypersonic missiles.
During a visit to the submarine last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the crew that it was "the most modern, best-equipped submarine, capable of performing a wide range of tasks."
Putin emphasized that the Arkhangelsk and other Yasen-M ships "can do everything," referring to their ability to attack targets underwater, on the surface, and on land.
