Construction begins on a special occasion for the country.
The project is one of 80 key national projects simultaneously commenced and inaugurated to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), and is also among the top 5 exemplary projects of Khanh Hoa province.

Professor Su Dinh Thanh, Director of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, said that the new facility will undertake three main tasks: training high-quality human resources to meet the socio-economic development needs of the region; researching and transferring practical solutions; and connecting a network of scholars, students, and businesses both domestically and internationally.

UEH Nexus Campus draws inspiration from Cham architecture – a local cultural and traditional feature.
The branch campus focuses on training, research, and international connections linked to the advantages of Khanh Hoa province and the potential of the region, such as: sustainable marine economy, marine spatial planning, ocean technology, microchips, healthcare, and community development.
"In particular, the strategic branch campus will implement an educational cooperation program based on the ASEAN Cooperative Education model, giving students the opportunity to study and gain experience at leading businesses in the Asian region, increasing their ability to integrate into the international working environment, and aiming to become global citizens," Professor Thanh emphasized.
The project is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2026. UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang will become a hub of knowledge, a place to nurture a new generation of human resources, contributing to the sustainable development and integration goals of Khanh Hoa province as well as the South Central Coast - Central Highlands region.
