A golden day for martial arts!

Good news continues to pour in for the Vietnamese sports delegation this afternoon in wrestling, judo, and other martial arts. Le Thi Nhi is the latest athlete to win a gold medal in kickboxing.

SEA Games 32 Diary, May 15th:

Le Thi Nhi won the gold medal after defeating her Philippine opponent Fitzchel Martine Teodoro Fermato in the final of the under 50 kg weight category.

Defeating Filipino athlete Jude Oliver Marie Rodriguez 3-0 in the final of the women's lightweight 50-55 kg single stick event, Vu Thi Thanh Binh won the gold medal.

In the women's 67 kg final, Bac Thi Khiem won the silver medal after losing to Cambodian-American fighter Cassandre Nicole Tubbs.

Vietnamese fighter Nguyen Thi Hang Nga defeated Renalyn Dasalla Dacquel (Philippines) on points to win the gold medal in kickboxing in the under 48 kg weight category.

In the men's 63kg final, Pham Dang Quang (wearing blue) defeated Thai fighter Sritimongk 2-1 to win the gold medal.

Tran Anh Tuyet won the gold medal in the women's 59 kg category after easily defeating the Thai athlete with the same submission hold.

Nguyen Thi My Trang won the gold medal in the women's 57 kg category after defeating her Cambodian opponent with a rear submission hold in less than 30 seconds.

In the women's 52kg final, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy defeated Cambodian home fighter Yanagiha by points to win the 4th gold medal for Vietnam in judo on May 15th.

In the men's 90kg final, Le Anh Tai continued his winning streak by defeating Thai fighter Puyang with an ippon to claim the gold medal. Judo also won gold medals in 3 out of 4 events in the finals on the afternoon of May 15th.

In the women's 48 kg final, Hoang Thi Tinh defeated Thai fighter Muenjit with an Ippon move to win the gold medal.

In the women's 44 kg final, Nguyen Nhac Nhu An defeated Laotian fighter Ouanvilay with an ippon throw to win the gold medal.

The HCV team in the women's doubles event consists of Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen, Tran Thi Ngoc Yen, and Nguyen Thi Yen. This event is played with two players and one substitute.

Dang Thi Linh won both of her matches against opponents from Indonesia and Singapore in the women's 76kg weight category, thereby winning the gold medal in this event. Lai Dieu Thuong achieved a clean sweep in the women's 68kg weight category, easily defeating her Laotian and Cambodian opponents to lead the group and win the gold medal.

In the men's team sabre event, the team (Nguyen Van Quyet, Vu Thanh An, To Duc Anh, Nguyen Xuan Loi) defeated Singapore 45-31 to win the gold medal.

In the men's team sabre event (Nguyen Van Quyet, Vu Thanh An, To Duc Anh, Nguyen Xuan Loi), the Vietnamese team defeated Indonesia 45-32 in the semi-finals. The Vietnamese team will compete in the final against either Singapore or the Philippines.

Dinh Thi Thu Uyen won the silver medal in the women's 64 kg category with a total lift of 194 kg.

SWORD FIGHTING

The Vietnamese men's sabre team advanced to the semi-finals to face Indonesia. The Vietnamese team consists of: Nguyen Van Quyet, Vu Thanh An, To Duc Anh, and Nguyen Xuan Loi. The athletes defeated Malaysia in the qualifying round to reach the semi-finals. In the women's team foil event, the Vietnamese team, consisting of Luu Thi Thanh Nhan, Pham Thi Ngoc Luyen, Ha Thi Van Anh, and Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, will face the Philippines in the semi-finals.

Dinh Thi Thu Uyen finished the snatch event with a performance of 96kg, ranking second behind Indonesian athlete Ramadani (97kg).

SEA Games 32 analysis, May 15th:

With a "shower" of gold medals from diving, aerobics, martial arts, fencing, Vietnamese sports won 20 gold medals on May 14th and reached a total of 107 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games, far surpassing second-place Thailand with 91 gold medals.

In particular, Cao Thi Duyen, an athlete from Thanh Hoa, excellently won the third gold medal at this year's SEA Games.

Cao Thi Duyen won a total of 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals at this year's SEA Games.

On the 10th day of competition (May 15th), the two remaining athletes from Thanh Hoa, Dang Thi Linh (Wrestling) and Hoang Thi Tinh (Judo), will officially compete. These two are expected to successfully defend the gold medals they won at the SEA Games 31.

Dang Thi Linh is the reigning wrestling champion at the 31st SEA Games.
