Nghe An: Highlights of August 2nd

* On the morning of August 2nd, the Steering Committee for the project "Summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 22-NQ/TW dated April 10, 2013 of the Politburo on international integration" held its first meeting.

The meeting was held online. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates heard reports on the implementation of Resolution No. 22 of the Politburo from five ministries: Foreign Affairs , Public Security, National Defense, Industry and Trade, and Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. These reports highlighted several shortcomings, including: limited public and business interest in international integration; difficulties in integrating international cooperation into local development plans; and ineffective utilization of FDI capital.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh drew six lessons learned from experience. These are: effectively managing the relationship between independence and international integration; maximizing domestic resources and leveraging external support in all fields; thoroughly understanding the international context and domestic needs, resolving conflicting issues and challenges; a spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and daring to innovate; closely linking and supporting each other in all fields, with a clear focus and priorities; and ensuring that integration is substantive, based on the principle of "harmonizing interests and sharing risks."

The Secretariat of the Central Committee decided to appoint two comrades to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

In Decision No. 910-QDNS/TW dated June 22, 2023, the Secretariat of the Central Committee decided to appoint Comrade Le Van Luong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union - to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

In Decision No. 928-QDNS/TW dated July 11, 2023, the Secretariat of the Central Committee decided to appoint Comrade Ha Xuan Quang - Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province - to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

* On August 3rd and 4th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organized a meeting and dialogue program with heads of Party committees and governments at the commune, ward, and town levels throughout the province. Prior to this event, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the program's steering committee - wrote an article titled: "Creating Consensus for Strong Transformation from the Grassroots Level."

* On the morning of August 2nd, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized the August 2023 press briefing conference.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requests that media outlets extensively publicize the implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023, of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Particular attention should be paid to the specific development targets and the nine key tasks and solutions to ensure Nghe An's rapid, sustainable, and comprehensive development.

Press agencies also need to step up publicity for the program of meetings and dialogues between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the heads of Party committees and governments at the commune level, as well as major events and holidays in the month.

* According to the plan, the recruitment of kindergarten teachers for grades 6 and 9 must be completed by August 30th. Therefore, at this time, many localities are urgently implementing the process to both ensure the rights of teachers and facilitate the work of schools, with only one month left before the start of the new school year.

* The Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense has just issued Notice No. 109/TB-VP-PCTT regarding the operation and water regulation of the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, and the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir (Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district).

* Within one month, the Traffic Police and Public Order Team of Vinh City Police Department patrolled, inspected, and handled violations related to illegal parking. The team issued citations and processed over 700 cases of violations; including nearly 90 cases of illegal parking fines issued remotely.
