Spread love

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Kim Ngan (center) said: "Helping others is not because you have a lot, but because you understand what it means to be in need."
As a member of the La Khoa Hamlet Women's Association, Ms. Ngan is always energetic and at the forefront of the "Women actively studying, working creatively, and building happy families" movement, linked to the "Building families with 5 no's and 3 clean's" campaign. After her teaching hours, she often takes advantage of her time to participate in charitable activities with other women's association members. Every year, she and her family mobilize donations of over 100 gifts for poor and near-poor households, elderly people living alone, and children in difficult circumstances in the commune during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). "Helping others is not because we have a lot, but because we understand what it means to be in need," Ms. Ngan shared.
Thanks to her reputation and sense of responsibility in social work, she has become a trusted "bridge" between benevolent hearts and those in difficult circumstances. In 2025, she represented benefactors in coordination with the Women's Union of Tan Tay commune to donate 20 million VND to support Mai Gia Han, a child with a blood infection and a special situation; at the same time, she provided 19.9 million VND to help Mr. Tran Quoc Hung, a man in difficult circumstances suffering from a rare brain tumor. "If it weren't for Ms. Ngan's efforts in mobilizing help, my family probably wouldn't have been able to afford the treatment. She not only helped with money but also regularly checked on and encouraged my family," shared Ms. Le Thi Ha, Mr. Hung's mother, emotionally.
Previously, in 2022, Ms. Ngan also raised 16 million VND to support the construction of a "House of Love" for Nguyen Thiet Hung, helping his family stabilize their living situation. In addition, she actively participated with other members in many other social welfare activities such as distributing hundreds of Tet gifts, donating bicycles, and providing scholarships to poor but studious students, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing in the community.
Few know that behind her simple demeanor and gentle smile lies a woman who has experienced much loss. Her husband died young from a serious illness, leaving her to raise two young children alone. Yet, she did not give up but became stronger. Ms. Le Thi Yen Chuc, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Tay commune and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan Tay commune, commented: “Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Kim Ngan is not only a teacher who imparts knowledge on the podium but also a sower of love in everyday life. She is a role model of the modern Vietnamese woman: “Confident, self-respecting, loyal, and capable.” Despite her difficult circumstances, she remains wholeheartedly dedicated to her work and always cares for others, especially those less fortunate.”
Her sincerity and perseverance have created a powerful ripple effect in the community. Colleagues, students, parents, and the people all hold her in high regard and affection. With her quiet contributions to education and social work, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Kim Ngan deserves to be recognized as an exemplary individual in the patriotic emulation movement of Tan Tay commune – a "flame of compassion" that always shines brightly in everyday life.
