A little girl accidentally grabbed the handlebars of a motorbike, causing it to crash into a fence, causing injury. The accident was caused by the mother's carelessness when she got off the motorbike without turning it off.

On August 15, the City Children's Hospital announced that it had received treatment for a 26-month-old girl named HCT ( from Tay Ninh province) who had suffered a serious accident.

Medical history showed that 2 hours before admission, the mother drove the child on a scooter. When she got home, the mother got off the scooter but kept the engine running. The girl sitting in the front accidentally grabbed the scooter, causing it to crash straight into the iron gate.

The accident caused the baby to hit his face against the fence, his stomach and chest hitting the front of the car. His eyes and lips were bleeding profusely. His family immediately took him to the City Children's Hospital.

At this time, the child was awake, able to communicate, and in a state of panic. The doctor examined and noted a complex wound in the left eye, a torn eyelid, and a torn lip. The results of the diagnostic imaging showed no damage to the eyeball, no intracranial damage, minimal lung contusion, and no internal organ damage.

Immediately after, the child's wound was stopped from bleeding, he was injected with serum and tetanus vaccine, and the wound on his eyelids and lips was sutured. After 5 days of treatment, the child's condition gradually improved, the wound was clean and dry, and vision in both eyes was normal.

Doctors warn that parents need to wear seat belts when carrying small children on motorbikes. In case the child is sitting in the front, the front of the vehicle should be padded to avoid collision. When stopping and getting off the vehicle, parents must turn off the engine and take the child down with them to avoid serious accidents that may occur.
