"The Man in Rubber Sandals" is a typical play in the historical-revolutionary drama genre, simple but full of emotion. The play realistically depicts the flow of Vietnamese history, from the arduous days of resistance with images of soldiers and people in the smoke and fire of bombs and bullets, to the moment of peace regained with blood and faith.
Footsteps through the Truong Son forest; Eyes following each other in the smoke of bombs; Silent sacrifices in the rear. All blend into a simple heroic epic, without the need for slogans but still shining with the spirit of the times, evoking in the audience national pride and the value of peace today.
