Accordingly, the People's Committee of Nha Trang ward has just completed the detailed planning project at a scale of 1/500 for the area east of Tran Phu street, with the goal of restructuring the entire coastal strip towards a modern and synchronized direction, becoming the "face" of an international-class coastal city.

According to the plan, the planned area covers more than 80.6 hectares, extending from Tran Phu Bridge to the Nha Trang port area, directly adjacent to the bay. This is identified as the city's most important landscape axis, concentrating large-scale public spaces such as parks, squares, and specific service and tourism activities.

Notably, the coastal park strip will be continuously developed, increasing open spaces and minimizing concrete construction. Building density within the park area will be limited to no more than 5%, prioritizing community services and ensuring unobstructed sea views.

The area east of Tran Phu Street is planned to be the face of Nha Trang coastal city.

A notable new development is the orientation towards transforming the area into a 24/7 operating space, aiming to create a "city that never sleeps" along the coast. Spaces are interconnected, from the coastal park and central square to pedestrian and bicycle paths and areas for events and festivals. The East-West connecting axis is also expanded, facilitating easier access to the beach for residents and tourists.

The project also identifies a series of architectural and landscape highlights to create a unique identity for the coastal strip. The 2/4 Square and the Tram Huong Tower continue to play a central role in organizing major events.

Existing parks such as Thanh Nien, Phu Dong, and Tue Tinh will be upgraded to be multi-functional. In addition, a "Nha Trang Seaside Village" space is proposed to recreate maritime culture, combined with a heritage park to both preserve and exploit local historical values.

The landscape axes and sea views are also being expanded to avoid obstructing the view. Notably, the plan also includes the idea of constructing a new iconic building, contributing to defining the image of the coastal city in the future.

In terms of infrastructure, regional traffic will be reorganized to prioritize pedestrians and cyclists, while enhancing seamless connectivity between public spaces.

The addition of above-ground and underground parking systems aims to alleviate pressure on existing infrastructure. Simultaneously, plans to develop waterway transportation linked to the tourist port and bay tour routes are being studied to diversify the travel experience.

According to assessments, the area east of Tran Phu Street has not yet fully exploited its potential, lacking unique tourism products and nightlife activities.

Therefore, this planning focuses on diversifying marine services, developing high-quality sports , entertainment, experiences, and commercial activities to increase attractiveness to international tourists and young people.

The Nha Trang seaside village in the former Ana Mandara resort area will function as a food and beverage (F&B) and entertainment space, a plaza, a musical fountain area, and a parking lot.

However, the requirement to preserve the natural landscape and minimize the impact on the marine environment and ecosystem remains the top priority.

Completing the detailed planning for the area east of Tran Phu Street is considered a strategic step in the roadmap to build Nha Trang into a modern, smart, and distinctive coastal city.

When implemented comprehensively, this area will not only serve as a large-scale public space but also as a symbol of new development, contributing to elevating Nha Trang's position on the international tourism map.
