Sharing with VietNamNet , musician Tien Luan said that musician Mac The Nhan passed away at 4:00 p.m. on August 8 at his home in Ho Chi Minh City.

Musician Mac The Nhan was visited by director Thanh Hiep in April 2020.

"Mr. Mac The Nhan's health has been poor for several years. For about a week, he was tired and exhausted, and passed away this afternoon.

His children were present in his final moments. The musician had a brilliant and complete life," musician Tien Luan said.

Currently, his family and children are working together to take care of the musician's funeral. His funeral took place at 3am on August 9. His coffin was buried at his home in An Phu Dong Ward (Thanh Loc Ward, old District 12), Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2020, musician Mac The Nhan suffered a stroke and was rushed to the emergency room due to a cerebrovascular accident. Over the past 5 years, the musician has been in and out of the hospital many times due to old age and age-related illnesses.

Mac The Nhan was a musician and former journalist before 1975. He started composing music in 1958, his first song was Homeland Moon .
