Many key stocks surged, pushing the VN-Index up nearly 6 points.

NDO - On April 25th, the market started strongly, but the lackluster performance of blue-chip stocks and the widespread decline on the electronic board caused the main indices to reverse and fall towards the end of the morning session. In the afternoon, buying pressure returned, with large-cap stocks such as VJC, VNM, MSN, VHM, GAS, and MBB breaking through, along with VIC maintaining its upward momentum, helping the VN-Index recover, rising 5.88 points to 1,229.23 points at the close of the session.

In this session, VIC shares had the most positive impact on the VN-Index, contributing over 4.1 points to its rise. Conversely, VCB shares were heavily sold, subtracting over 1.3 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session increased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching over 18,375.97 billion VND.

Foreign investors net sold approximately 591 billion VND on the HoSE exchange. On the buying side, HPG shares were the most heavily bought with a value of over 87 billion VND, followed by MSN (64 billion VND), HDB (55 billion VND), GEE (26 billion VND), etc. Conversely,FPT was the most heavily sold (148 billion VND), followed by VIC (147 billion VND), STB (126 billion VND), VCI (64 billion VND), etc.

Today's session saw the VN30 index close with 15 gainers, 2 unchanged stocks, and 13 losers.

Among them, VIC saw the biggest increase, hitting the ceiling price of 67,000 VND/share, followed by VJC up 6.18% to 91,000 VND/share, VNM up 3.55% to 58,300 VND/share, MSN up 3.51% to 62,000 VND/share, PLX up 1.78%, GAS up 1.74%, MWG up 1.34%, MBB up 1.29%, VHM up 1.8%, and GVR up 1.06%.

Stocks such as BCM, FPT, HPG, SAB, and TCB saw slight increases.

Both stocks, HDB and VRE, stopped at their reference prices.

Conversely, SSB experienced the sharpest decline, losing 2.69% to 18,100 VND/share, followed by STB down 2.61%, LPB down 2.12%, BID down 1.27%, VIB down 1.7%, VCB down 1.2%, andACB down 1.04%.

The remaining stocks: BVH, CTG,SHB , SSI, TPB, VPB saw slight declines.

In terms of sectors, steel stocks, except for SMC which surged 4.9% to 9,000 VND/share, mostly experienced slight fluctuations. Specifically, HPG, NKG, and VCA saw slight increases, while DTL, HMC, and POM remained unchanged, TLH decreased slightly, and HSG fell by 1.11%.

The securities sector stocks closed slightly lower by 0.12%. Besides SSI mentioned above, BSI and VND both fell by 1.34%, CTS by 1.24%, VCI by 1.04%, and FTS and VIX also saw slight declines. Conversely, APG and ORS both hit their upper limit, reaching VND 12,500/share and VND 8,340/share respectively, while DSE, HCM, TCI, TVS, and VDS saw slight increases, and AGR and TVB remained at their reference prices.

The banking sector stocks also closed down 0.72%. Besides the VN30 group stocks ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, and VIB mentioned above, other stocks such as EIB saw a slight increase, MSB a slight decrease, OCB down 1.9%, and NAB up 1.84%.

Meanwhile, the real estate sector saw many stocks perform well, closing up 2.11%. Besides VIC and VHM mentioned above, other strong gainers included: CKG, DRH, TDH (up to their maximum limit), NBB (up 6.44%), and NVT (up 3.67%). Conversely, CRE (down 2.05%), LGL (down 4.7%), NVL (down 3.98%), and VRC (down 3.97%).

Other stock sectors such as food, beverages and tobacco increased by 2.24%, consumer goods and decorations by 1.96%, transportation by 1.35%, energy by 1.33%, and materials, software, distribution and retail of durable goods, utilities, and production materials saw slight increases. Conversely, telecommunications stocks fell by 2%, and insurance stocks declined slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market experienced significant fluctuations today, with the VNXALL-Index closing up 6.28 points (+0.31%) at 2,030.69 points. Total market liquidity reached 821.29 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND 19,990.04 billion. Across the market, 184 stocks increased in price, 107 remained unchanged, and 163 decreased.

* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 211.72 points, up 0.65 points (+0.31%). Total trading volume reached over 57.1 million units, with a corresponding transaction value of over 799.07 billion VND. Across the entire exchange, there were 88 gainers, 60 unchanged stocks, and 75 losers.

The HNX30 index closed down 1.57 points (-0.38%) at 413.4 points. Trading volume reached approximately 29.16 million units, with a corresponding value of over 530.44 billion VND. Among the HNX30 stocks, 11 increased, 9 remained unchanged, and 10 decreased.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index rose, closing at 92.27 points, up 0.44 points (+0.48%). Total market liquidity reached over 71.02 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 654.76 billion VND. Among UPCoM stocks, 207 ended the trading day higher, 117 remained unchanged, and 139 declined.

* On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 5.88 points (+0.48%) at 1,229.23 points. Trading volume reached over 855.13 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 20,102.54 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 256 gainers, 91 unchanged stocks, and 220 losers.

The VN30 index rose 5.52 points (+0.42%) to 1,317.18 points. Trading volume reached over 424.86 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 12,529.43 billion. At the end of the trading day, 15 VN30 stocks increased, 2 remained unchanged, and 13 decreased.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were SHB (over 71.72 million units), MBB (over 40.71 million units), CII (over 25.33 million units), VIX (over 24.85 million units), and HPG (over 24.84 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increases were VAF (6.94%), ORS (6.92%), TYA (6.91%), LGC (6.90%), and CKG (6.88%).

The five stocks with the biggest price drops were L10 (-6.97%), TDW (-6.88%), CCC (-6.87%), HU1 (-6.86%), and LGL (-4.70%).

* Today's derivatives market saw 197,997 contracts traded, with a value of VND 25,948.61 billion.
