Many breakthroughs in rural development in Ho Vuong

Established through the merger of four communes: Nga Lien, Nga Hai, Nga Thanh, and Nga Giap of the former Nga Son district, Ho Vuong commune has favorable conditions and a solid foundation for development, especially in the construction of new rural areas. Therefore, immediately after the two-tiered local government came into operation, the commune quickly stabilized its organization and structure; assigning specific tasks to ensure effective and efficient operation. At the same time, it overcame difficulties, focused on economic development and the construction of new rural areas to create breakthroughs and promote the comprehensive development of the locality.

Following its establishment, the commune was assessed to have met 19 out of 19 criteria for New Rural Development; 8 out of 28 villages completed the tasks of the model New Rural Development village criteria, including one smart village. Building upon the plan for implementing the National Target Program for New Rural Development in 2025, the People's Committee of Ho Vuong commune continued to hold numerous conferences to implement tasks aimed at maintaining and improving the criteria for New Rural Development.

Comrade Pham Ba Bon, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Vuong commune, said: "Established from one model new rural commune, one advanced new rural commune, and two communes with a sustainable socio -economic development foundation, Ho Vuong has many advantages for building new rural areas. In particular, the unity, consensus, and awareness of the people are crucial factors in ensuring the rapid and effective progress of the local new rural area construction process. Based on the principle of 'People do the work, the State supports,' after 5 months of the new government's operation, the rural landscape of Ho Vuong has undergone many changes, fulfilling the criteria for new rural areas in a substantive and sustainable manner."

The development of production and the improvement of people's income have also been vigorously implemented in Ho Vuong commune. Many effective agricultural production models have been established in the area, such as: over 19 hectares of greenhouses producing safe vegetables and fruits; over 60 hectares of linked sweet potato production; and many farm and household farm models generating hundreds of millions of dong in income per year... Along with this, the New Rural Development movement has also been launched and effectively implemented in the villages.

With the foundation and self-awareness of the people, by 2025, six villages in Ho Vuong commune, including villages 2, 7, 9, Can Thanh, Dong Son, and Hai Tien, have registered to complete the construction of model villages. With the highest political determination, from July 2025, these villages have restarted the "pace" of building model villages to strive for completion within 2025. Political and social organizations and village working committees have launched many effective campaigns, such as: "Green Sunday," "Building model gardens," "Collecting and sorting household waste,"... contributing to building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment.

After finishing their work, every afternoon, Mr. Vu Trong Lua's family in Hai Tien village proactively cleans up, beautifies their green fence, and disposes of waste around their house and along the village road. This is no longer just a task assigned by the village or community organizations, but has become a daily habit and activity carried out by his family and other villagers to contribute to building a clean, beautiful, and model village in Hai Tien. Mr. Lua said: “Understanding the policy of building a model new rural village, my family always focuses on beautifying the village roads and alleys, maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful environment, and developing the household economy. Furthermore, this activity helps build neighborly solidarity, laying the foundation for mobilizing resources from the people.”

According to the assessment of the Commune People's Committee, the progress in implementing the criteria for model new rural villages in the villages is being carried out urgently and decisively. The villages have actively carried out general cleaning of village roads and alleys; renovated houses, transformed neglected gardens into model gardens; renovated the village cultural house and sports area; installed house number signs; installed traffic speed bumps; planted and cared for green hedges... To date, all 6 villages have completed the dossiers requesting the competent authority to recognize them as model new rural villages according to regulations.

With the motto "New Rural Development has no end," the journey of building a new rural area in Ho Vuong commune has never rested, creating a modern and attractive appearance and improving the quality of life for its people. Today's breakthroughs will be a solid foundation for Ho Vuong commune to comprehensively transform, aiming towards a modern, civilized, and culturally rich rural area; completing the construction of an advanced new rural commune before 2030.
