As the only Tier 1 bank with a branch located in the northwestern districts of Phu Tho province, VietinBank's Phu Tho town branch has offered various financial solutions to support businesses in accessing capital and other credit needs for production and business activities.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Hai, Director of VietinBank's Phu Tho branch, shared: “Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for a large number of businesses and play a crucial role in promoting production and driving socio -economic development. As the only Tier 1 bank with offices in the northwestern districts of Phu Tho province, VietinBank always focuses on the practical needs of its customers; at the same time, the bank wishes to contribute to supporting businesses in saving costs and increasing access to capital to achieve maximum business efficiency.”

Following the directives of the State Bank of Vietnam and the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, in 2024, the branch successfully organized a direct Bank-Enterprise connection conference with the participation of the State Bank of Vietnam's provincial branch and over 30 wood export businesses. As a result, comprehensive cooperation agreements were signed with two businesses. In addition, through indirect and individual channels, the branch proactively connected with many other businesses and sectors. Simultaneously, it developed 44 new corporate clients, with credit growth reaching VND 343 billion.

Leveraging its advantage as the only Tier 1 bank with offices located in the northwestern districts of the province, adjacent to the Phu Ha and Cam Khe Industrial Parks, where many foreign-owned and import-export businesses operate, the branch has provided a diverse range of international payment and foreign exchange services, contributing to the promotion of import-export activities for over 200 businesses. In 2024, it processed over 4,800 money transfers, issued LCs, and collected over 287.5 million USD, and nearly 6,000 foreign exchange transactions totaling 228 million USD.

In particular, in 2024, Typhoon No. 3 disrupted many production and business chains, causing difficulties for many households and businesses. In response, the branch closely monitored the situation and proactively implemented credit programs with preferential interest rates to support individual and business customers in overcoming difficulties and rebuilding production. In addition to the four customers with a total outstanding loan of over 52 billion VND who received interest rate support, credit officers proactively approached customers who had purchased VietinBank Insurance (VBI), coordinating with the claims department to promptly resolve compensation procedures, enabling customers to quickly access additional financial resources to restore production and business. These timely support solutions from VietinBank's Phu Tho branch not only helped customers alleviate their financial burden but also significantly contributed to the recovery process of businesses after the natural disaster. Providing preferential loan packages, along with flexible interest rate reduction policies, demonstrates the bank's close support for local communities during this difficult period, helping customers overcome challenges and reinforcing confidence in the crucial role of the financial system in stabilizing and developing the regional economy after storms and floods.

Strengthening the Bank-Business connection along with the flexible implementation of support programs from VietinBank's head office, especially interest rate policies/loan programs, and support for businesses according to different types of businesses and industries, the Branch focuses on and continuously implements campaigns to contact and reach out to newly established business customers in the area to help businesses easily access banking products and services such as opening payment accounts, loans, guarantees, money transfers, e-banking, and applying for preferential packages from the bank.

In addition, the Branch closely coordinates with the Provincial Business Association to connect and approach businesses in need of loans. It further strengthens communication and marketing efforts through small-scale events and cooperation programs with industrial parks in the area. It enhances and further develops the secondary sales channel, acting as input and output partners for businesses currently borrowing from VietinBank. It also collaborates with provincial departments and agencies to implement trade promotion programs with foreign business associations from Japan, Korea, and China to reach FDI businesses...

According to the leaders of VietinBank's Phu Tho Town branch, in 2025, the business community in the province will continue to have favorable conditions and opportunities for development, but will also face many difficulties and challenges.
