On October 6, District 7 People's Committee opened the Digital Transformation Festival and Creative Startup Space 2023, in response to National Digital Transformation Day and Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Week with the theme "Exploiting digital data, digital transformation success". Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc attended and spoke.

At the festival, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc praised District 7 for closely connecting 3 parties (the state, schools, investors) in implementing digital transformation activities. He emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend today, therefore, District 7 as well as localities and units of Ho Chi Minh City cannot stand aside.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that the festival will not only convey a message about the role of the State in creating and supporting the innovation and digital transformation community in difficult times, but also promote more strongly the role of guiding, leading, connecting, cooperating and sharing in innovation activities of Ho Chi Minh City. "This will be an important core foundation to form an advanced and exemplary District 7 People's Committee, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people, improving the efficiency of State agencies, promoting rapid and sustainable socio -economic development; at the same time, spreading strongly to other localities in Ho Chi Minh City", Mr. Duong Anh Duc believes.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc also requested the city's departments and branches, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to support the People's Committee of District 7 as well as other localities to effectively carry out the tasks of digital transformation and innovation, effectively contributing to the common goals of Ho Chi Minh City.

Seminar "Application of digital transformation in practice"

Earlier, in his opening speech, Chairman of District 7 People's Committee Hoang Minh Tuan Anh said that over the past time, District 7's digital transformation has achieved many positive results. The district has operated the Smart Urban Operations Center with applications on mobile platforms, to serve State management and serve the people. Gradually establishing a digital government with information infrastructure and databases, contributing to the goal of modernizing the administrative system, improving management and operation capacity and better serving citizens and businesses.

In the coming time, District 7 will promote digital transformation in the 2023-2025 period, focusing on 3 main pillars: digital government, digital economy and digital society. In particular, District 7 will deploy a digital transformation model in 10 wards; connect through an integrated platform to share data and information of people and businesses that have been digitized and stored at the City Data Center; train 100% of district civil servants and public employees on digital transformation, information security, etc.
