Due to the impact of storm No. 10, from the night of September 29 to the morning of September 30, landslides occurred on National Highway 4D (in Lao Cai province), causing traffic congestion, affecting travel between Lao Cai and Lai Chau .

In addition, according to information from the Department of Construction of Lao Cai province, most of the provincial roads in the area were eroded, flooded, and traffic was almost paralyzed. In this situation, since last night, the Department of Construction of Lai Chau province has coordinated with the provincial Traffic Police to notify transport businesses, drivers and passengers to temporarily stop traffic and wait for new instructions to ensure safety.

The authorities of Lai Chau and Lao Cai provinces are urgently mobilizing vehicles and human resources to focus on handling and prioritizing the clearance of National Highway 4D first. It is expected that by the end of September 30, 2025, the landslide sites will be temporarily repaired, ensuring one-way traffic, serving the needs of travel and transporting essential goods.
