Hoang Thi Hai Yen, a student in class 6A, is a child with a severe motor disability. Her small body is only about 1 meter tall and weighs a mere 20 kg. Since the third grade, her condition has worsened, leaving Yen unable to walk or perform daily activities like her peers. For her, the journey to school has therefore become much more difficult.
Sharing in Hai Yen's plight, La Thuy Trang, who has been Hai Yen's classmate since first grade, has voluntarily become her friend's "legs" for many years. Although their houses aren't close, every day Trang proactively runs to greet her friend, helping her into the classroom and seating her neatly in her study area. Whenever Yen needs to go outside, to the functional classroom, or participate in group activities, Trang quietly carries her friend in her arms, without hesitation or reluctance. For this young student, carrying her friend or taking her to school activities has long become a familiar daily routine.

When mentioning Hai Yen, Trang smiled gently and softly spoke about her best friend, who had been with her since the early years of elementary school. “I just hope Yen stays healthy, attends class regularly, and gets to play with her friends. Every time I see her happy or smiling more, I feel happy too. I will continue to help her in the future.”
Despite the difficulties in getting around, Hai Yen always tries to integrate with the group. And on that journey, Thuy Trang is always silently by her side. In class, Hai Yen always pays close attention to the lectures and happily chats with her friends like any other student. During every break, when the other students rush down to the schoolyard, Trang gently carries Hai Yen to the hallway to get some fresh air or takes her down to the yard to chat with her friends. Things that seem so ordinary to many students become a special joy for Hai Yen. Speaking about her constant companion, Hai Yen emotionally shared: “Trang always helps me, never gets annoyed or abandons me. Whenever we go down to the schoolyard or participate in crowded activities, she always proactively finds me to help me move around. Thanks to her, my studies, daily life, and participation in school activities are much easier. I love and am very grateful to her.”
In today's fast-paced world, where indifference to the plight of others still prevails, the friendship between Thuy Trang and Hai Yen warms the hearts of many. Trang's actions aren't grand, but simple, reflecting the innocence and carefree nature of schoolgirls, stemming from genuine love and sharing for her friend. Ms. Pham Thi Tuoi, the homeroom teacher of class 6A, commented: “Thuy Trang is a diligent and well-behaved student, always enthusiastic with her friends. She is especially caring towards Hai Yen. What's admirable is that she helps her friend voluntarily and sincerely, and has maintained this for many years. Trang's beautiful actions also spread the spirit of love and sharing in the classroom, earning her the affection of many students.”

Ms. Pham Thi Tuoi further shared that, inspired by the stories of Thuy Trang and Hai Yen, many students in the class have become more caring and supportive of each other in their studies and daily lives. They no longer tease or distance themselves from Hai Yen, but instead proactively engage in conversations and offer assistance to help her integrate into the group. This simple act of sharing has contributed to creating a warm and humane school environment.
Ms. Doan Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Deputy Principal of Thanh Nghi Secondary School, said: "The friendship between La Thuy Trang and Hoang Thi Hai Yen is a beautiful example of compassion and sharing among students today. The school always cherishes and commends beautiful actions like Trang's to spread positive values among students. Such actions have great significance in shaping their character. The school hopes that every student, when coming to school, will not only learn knowledge but also be educated about love, compassion, and responsibility to the community."

In addition, the Thanh Nghi Secondary School's administration always pays special attention to Hai Yen in particular and disadvantaged students in general through various means such as: creating favorable learning conditions, supporting integration, encouraging morale, and calling for the cooperation of philanthropists so that these students have more opportunities to attend school and confidently integrate with their peers.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, Lã Thùy Trang's simple, sincere actions have written a beautiful fairy tale about friendship.
