Dr. Nguyen Sy Hai (born in 1967), Party Secretary and Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Thanh Ha District Medical Center, always wholeheartedly and diligently fulfills his role as a Party member and a medical professional.
With 28 years of professional experience, Dr. Hai has continuously studied and researched, applying numerous innovative ideas and experiences to medical examination and treatment. Following President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching, "a good doctor must be like a loving mother," Dr. Hai has always been at the forefront of mobilizing staff and employees; adhering strictly to hospital regulations and the ethical standards of a physician; and successfully completing all assigned tasks.
Every day, Dr. Hai is directly in charge of the examination and treatment room for gastroscopy. In 2023 alone, the Department of Diagnostic Imaging performed tests for 82,000 patients, nearly 15,000 ultrasounds, 18,000 X-rays, and 15,000 electrocardiograms... In 2023, Dr. Hai participated in a research project on the assessment and evaluation of gallstone disease through ultrasound at the Department of Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging, which was highly praised.
"Diagnostic imaging is a crucial medical specialty in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Through images captured by modern diagnostic imaging equipment, radiologists can see through the internal structures of the body that are invisible to the naked eye. Therefore, it requires careful observation and consideration to avoid mistakes and errors," Dr. Hai shared.
The joy of detecting cases early and accurately, providing opportunities for successful treatment and recovery for many patients, has fueled Dr. Hai's passion for the profession, motivating him to strive in the field of diagnostic imaging.
Courage in the fight against drug crime
Captain Nguyen Manh Hung (born in 1988), a Party member and officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department ( Hai Duong Provincial Police), has consistently performed his duties excellently for five consecutive years, from 2019 to 2023. He is described by his superiors as dynamic, proactive, and possessing a strong sense of discipline.
In his professional work, Captain Hung proactively advised the team commander and proposed to the unit's leadership effective measures to investigate drug-related crimes in the province. Despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges due to increasingly sophisticated and aggressive drug crimes, he and his colleagues always remained united, upholding the sense of responsibility of a People's Police officer, demonstrating resourcefulness, courage, and determination in combating all types of drug-related crimes.
Hung and his team have successfully dismantled many complex drug cases, including establishing and breaking up numerous special cases in Hai Duong province. A prime example is the arrest of a drug dealer using firearms in Tan Viet commune (Thanh Ha district). On the afternoon of October 10, 2022, at the residence of Vu Tuan Uy in Tan Viet commune, Hung and his teammates caught Uy red-handed selling drugs to Nguyen Van Tu, a suspect from Kinh Mon town. The seized evidence included 16.79g of synthetic drugs, 3.798g of heroin, and two firearms.
In particular, Captain Hung and his teammates directly apprehended many criminals involved in large quantities of drugs. For example, at 2 PM on October 17, 2023, at 362 Dien Bien Phu Street, he participated in the arrest of Pham Van Trung (born in 1987, residing in Binh Han Ward, Hai Duong City), seizing nearly 7 kg of synthetic drugs.
"I always strive to think and act in accordance with the Six Teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, remaining steadfast in the face of attacks from hostile forces and various types of criminals; at the same time, I uphold the will to overcome difficulties and pressures in my work, emphasize a sense of responsibility, and strive to complete all assigned tasks," Captain Hung shared.
Do a good job playing both roles.
When mentioning Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1983) in Thuong Dap village, Nam Hong commune (Nam Sach district), many people know about the dynamism and resourcefulness of a female Party member who is "good at public affairs and capable at home."
Ms. Lan is a Party Committee member of Thuong Dap village and Vice President of the Women's Association of Nam Hong commune. In her role as a Party Committee member, Ms. Lan always proactively advises on village activities, discussing and selecting practical activities at the grassroots level and concretizing them when organizing emulation movements and key tasks led by the Party Committee. For example, regarding the implementation of the policy on sorting household waste at source in the locality, Ms. Lan actively promotes and sets a leading example in its implementation.
As the Vice President of the Women's Association of Nam Hong commune, Ms. Lan plays a crucial role in maintaining and developing 18 clubs, 14 types of activities, and 8 models with a total of 1,192 members participating in activities such as folk dance and sports. Ms. Lan enthusiastically participates in the emulation movement "Building the modern woman of Nam Sach". Together with the Women's Association of Nam Hong commune, she coordinated the transfer of science and technology to 25 households that are members of the women's cooperative model for tomato cultivation in Don Boi village... With outstanding achievements in her work, in the three years from 2020-2022, Ms. Lan received five commendations from the Secretary of the Nam Sach District Party Committee, the President of the District Women's Union, and the Secretary of the Nam Hong Commune Party Committee.
Despite her busy work schedule, Ms. Lan always manages her household responsibilities well, making her a devoted wife and mother. Her family has been awarded the title of "Culturally Exemplary Family" for many years.
According to Comrade Vu Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nam Hong commune, Ms. Lan always fulfills "two roles," being an energetic and active female Party member in all activities. "She completes all assigned tasks well, contributing to the successful achievement of the local socio-economic goals. Despite playing two roles, Comrade Lan is very active and not afraid of hardship or difficulties," Mr. Quang assessed.
There are many exemplary Party members in Hai Duong such as Doctor Hai, Captain Hung, and Ms. Lan, who are dedicating their hearts and responsibilities every day to contributing positive values to the community.
