According to Apple, the most recent iPhones that were updated to iOS 17 but cannot upgrade to iOS 18 are the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, along with the iPhone X.

Meanwhile, the iPhone models compatible with iOS 18 are iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, along with iPhone XS and XS Max; iPhone XR; iPhone SE (2nd generation or later).
