Ninh Binh welcomed 374,000 visitors during the September 2nd holiday.

According to the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism , from August 31st to September 3rd, the province is estimated to welcome 374,000 visitors; of which, international visitors are estimated at 74,000, an increase of 276.7% compared to 2023 (19,646 visitors).

Several tourist areas and attractions received a large number of visitors, such as: Trang An tourist area, Hoa Lu ancient town, Bai Dinh pagoda, Thung Nham ecological tourist area, Cuc Phuong National Park, Tam Coc-Bich Dong tourist area, Kenh Ga area, etc. Large hotels such as Ninh Binh Legend, Hoang Son, The Red… had occupancy rates exceeding 90%.

With outstanding growth, especially the arrival of a group of 4,500 Indian tourists visiting Trang An during this period, the province's tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 650 billion VND, an increase of 182.6% compared to the same period last year. The average room occupancy rate reached 85-90%, and reached 100% on the nights of August 31st and September 1st.

Previously, in order to provide a safe and memorable holiday experience and ensure that all the needs of tourists are met, the Ninh Binh Provincial Tourism Department has strengthened its guidance, inspection, and supervision of businesses operating destinations, travel agencies, hotels, and restaurants in the province; at the same time, it has promoted propaganda, raised awareness and responsibility among people working in the service industry, strictly prohibited soliciting and price gouging, and focused on improving quality and building the image of a safe, friendly, high-quality, and attractive destination.

The Kênh Gà area, with its natural hot springs in Gia Viễn district (Ninh Bình province), is also a popular destination for many tourists.

In particular, the focus is on renewing tourism products and programs to stimulate demand, such as: the Tam Coc Cultural and Culinary Festival in 2024 with the theme "Heritage Flavors - Folk Colors," bringing tourists to the traditional folk culture of the Trang An-Ninh Binh Heritage area with over 100 food stalls and traditional craft villages, as well as folk games and over 200 characteristic dishes from all over the country; nightly cultural performances in Hoa Lu Ancient Town with many songs highlighting the image of the red flag with a five-pointed yellow star, recreating the historical journey and past in which the Party led the entire army and people to win independence and freedom for the nation; developing the new tourist destination of the Golden Pagoda; the Cultural, Sports , and Tourism Festival in Gia Vien district;…

The art program "The Flag of Independence," held in Hoa Lu Ancient Town (Ninh Binh) on the evening of September 2nd, attracted a large number of locals and tourists.

In addition, tourist areas, attractions, and facilities also organize many tourism promotion programs and preferential policies to attract visitors.

Thanks to thorough preparation beforehand, despite the large number of visitors to Ninh Binh, environmental sanitation, security, and civilized tourism practices were ensured.
