On May 2nd, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism announced that during the 5-day holiday period from April 27th to May 1st, the locality welcomed over 470,000 visitors, an increase of 37.47% compared to the same holiday period in 2023.

Tourists arrived in Ninh Binh during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site on the evening of April 26th.
This included over 411,800 domestic tourists, a 29.6% increase compared to the 2023 holiday period; and 58,200 international tourists, 2.39 times more than the 2023 holiday period. Tourism revenue reached over 600 billion VND, a 71% increase compared to the 2023 holiday period.
According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, during the April 30th and May 1st holiday, the locality held a ceremony on the evening of April 26th to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site.

During the April 30th and May 1st holidays, Trang An tourist area welcomed 60,100 visitors.
In addition, there are many related activities and events such as: the International Scientific Conference "Promoting the role and value of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex World Cultural and Natural Heritage in building a Millennium Heritage City and connecting world heritage cities".
In particular, events such as the opening ceremony of the Trang An Festival; the "Heritage Marathon 2024" running race; the special art program "Brilliant Hoa Lu" in Hoa Lu Ancient Town; and the fireworks display on the evening of April 30th at two locations, Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor Square and Trang An Cultural Park, attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and enjoy.
Tourist destinations with high visitor numbers include: Hoa Lu Ancient Town (113,000 visitors); Trang An Tourist Area (60,100 visitors); Bai Dinh Pagoda Spiritual Tourist Area (50,500 visitors); Thung Nham Bird Garden (34,900 visitors); Cuc Phuong National Park (31,100 visitors); Hoa Lu Ancient Capital (19,700 visitors); Tam Coc - Bich Dong (13,700 visitors); and Khe Coc Island (15,050 visitors)...
The average room occupancy rate across the province during the holiday period reached 85-90%; the average length of stay was estimated at 1.7 days per guest. The highest concentration of guests was on the nights of April 27th, 29th, and 30th.
