Ninh Thuan develops night-time economy to promote tourism development

(Fatherland) - The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province has just issued a Plan to implement the Project on developing the province's night-time economy by 2030.

The above plan was issued by the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province to effectively implement the goals, targets, tasks and solutions identified in the Project on night-time economic development of Ninh Thuan province to 2030, approved in Decision No. 611/QD-UBND dated October 22, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to this Plan, Ninh Thuan province has set out 10 key tasks to implement the Project. Of which, two tasks will be completed by November 2024: disseminating and popularizing the Project's content and approving the investment policy for the 4,575-hectare Binh Son Sea Park project.

The three tasks that the province will complete in December 2024 are: Report on the effectiveness assessment of the Project on organizing a walking street in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City and solutions for implementation in the coming time; Project on planning Ninh Chu National Tourist Area; Planning Thanh Son Airport.

The walking street at 16/4 Square (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City) is crowded on weekends.

Four tasks related to policies, regulations, taxes, etc. for night-time economic activities will be implemented by Ninh Thuan province after competent authorities issue guiding circulars. In addition, the tasks of Upgrading the Provincial Museum; Upgrading and renovating Po Klong Garai Tower, Hoa Lai Tower, and Po Inư Nưgar Temple will be completed by Ninh Thuan province in the period of 2026-2030.

In the Plan for implementing the Project on developing the night-time economy in Ninh Thuan province until 2030, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to each Department, branch, locality, relevant agencies and units. In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to organize cultural and artistic activities in areas planned for night-time economic development; Integrate night-time events into annual special cultural events and festivals, and a series of events throughout the year; Supplement services for tourists at cultural and historical sites open at night;...

The Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion is responsible for calling for investment in night-time economic programs and projects; Organizing activities and services to develop the night-time economy in the province; Proposing tours, routes, points, and tourist areas that can be exploited, providing night-time tourism products, new tourism products;...

During the implementation process, if there are any issues that need to be revised or supplemented to suit the actual situation, the Departments, branches, and localities shall promptly send documents to the Department of Planning and Investment for synthesis and reporting to the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province for consideration and direction./.

According to the Ninh Thuan Nighttime Economic Development Project to 2030, the province plans to spend 1,350 billion VND (state budget capital accounts for about 30%, the rest is socialized capital and other legally mobilized capital) to invest in works, projects and other activities to develop the nighttime economy. The goal by 2030 is to help Ninh Thuan welcome 6 million visitors, of which tourists using nighttime economic services account for about 70%.
