(To Quoc) - The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province has just issued a plan to implement the project for developing the province's night-time economy until 2030.
The aforementioned plan was issued by the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement the goals, targets, tasks, and solutions identified in the Ninh Thuan Province Nighttime Economy Development Project until 2030, approved by Decision No. 611/QD-UBND dated October 22, 2024, of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to this Plan, Ninh Thuan province has set out 10 key tasks to implement the Project. Among them, two tasks will be completed by November 2024: disseminating information about the Project and approving the investment plan for the 4,575-hectare Binh Son Beach Park project.
The province will complete three tasks in December 2024: a report evaluating the effectiveness of the pedestrian street project in Phan Rang-Thap Cham city and solutions for future implementation; the Ninh Chu National Tourist Area planning project; and the Thanh Son Airport planning project.
The pedestrian street in the 16/4 Square area (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City) is crowded with visitors on weekends.
Four tasks related to policies, regulations, taxes, etc., concerning nighttime economic activities will be implemented by Ninh Thuan province after the competent authority issues guiding circulars. In addition, the tasks of upgrading the Provincial Museum; upgrading and renovating Po Klong Garai Tower, Hoa Lai Tower, and Po Inu Nugar Temple will be completed by Ninh Thuan province during the 2026-2030 period.
In the Implementation Plan for the Ninh Thuan Province's Nighttime Economy Development Project until 2030, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to each Department, agency, locality, and relevant unit. Specifically, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was tasked with organizing cultural and artistic activities in areas planned for nighttime economic development; integrating nighttime events into annual cultural festivals and events throughout the year; and supplementing services for tourists at cultural and historical sites that are open at night.
The Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion is tasked with attracting investment in night-time economic programs and projects; organizing activities and services to develop the night-time economy in the province; proposing tours, routes, destinations, and tourist areas that can be exploited to provide night-time tourism products and new tourism products;...
During the implementation process, if any issues arise that require amendment or supplementation to suit the actual situation, the departments, agencies, and localities should promptly send written documents to the Department of Planning and Investment for compilation and reporting to the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction.
According to the Ninh Thuan Nighttime Economy Development Plan until 2030, the province plans to spend 1,350 billion VND (approximately 30% from the state budget, with the remainder from socialized capital and other legally mobilized funds) on projects and other activities to develop the nighttime economy. The goal is to attract 6 million tourists by 2030, with approximately 70% of them utilizing nighttime economic services.
