At the end of episode 8, the scene where Sun Yool calmly wears headphones while Soo Hyun is distraught knowing her husband, Su Ho, is having an affair with her adopted sister, Yuri, or in episode 9, the way he threatens Soo Hyun—"this is where she will die—and no one will be able to find her..." were praised.

According to Star News, with his new project, Cha Eun Woo has shown effort in building a "new type of villain" image. His acting through his eyes is more soulful, and the 1997-born star's vocal delivery is gradually becoming more stable.

Meanwhile, EDaily reported that Cha Eun Woo's dangerous appearance as the vengeful Sun Yool has received unprecedented praise from critics.

Previously, when sharing about the role, Cha Eun Woo said that he tried to create a change in image when portraying Kwon Sun Yool - a mysterious young man who grew up in a wealthy family but lived a difficult life after his parents passed away.

“I want to show Kwon Sun Yool's journey of overcoming her pain and wounds. As the episodes air, various secrets will be revealed, like Pandora's box.”
