Ngoc Ha, the wife of People's Artist Cong Ly, shared with VietNamNet reporters that on the night of August 23rd, her husband experienced severe pain and had to be rushed to the hospital. At that time, she was on a business trip in South Korea. After a few days of monitoring, People's Artist Cong Ly's health stabilized, so the doctor decided to perform surgery to remove kidney stones.

The surgery took place on the morning of September 3rd. Ngoc Ha said that artist Cong Ly has now left the operating room and is in good health.
"I heard the news just as I flew to South Korea to prepare for work. I stayed up all night, constantly updating myself on the situation from Vietnam. Luckily, I had relatives and friends who took Mr. Ly to the hospital in time. Currently, Mr. Ly's condition is stable. The doctor said they will monitor him for a few more days before allowing him to go home so his family can take care of him and he can recover," she said.
People's Artist Cong Ly suffered a stroke in July 2021. The sudden illness caused him many difficulties in his daily life, forcing him to stay away from the stage and screen. During the initial recovery period, all information regarding the artist's health was updated by his wife.
After nearly five years of being by her husband's side, Ngoc Ha said that People's Artist Cong Ly's health has stabilized. He has undergone several rounds of physiotherapy in Vietnam and treatment in Japan. The artist has returned to the screen with a number of short roles on television, most recently in the film "My Father, the One Who Stayed Behind".
