NTO - Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Phan Rang City

On June 3rd, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City held its 10th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term. Attending the congress were comrades: Le Van Binh, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; and Chau Thi Thanh Ha, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Party Committee.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City has mobilized and united all strata of the people to promote national solidarity, achieving and exceeding the targets and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 9th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City, term 2019-2024. Propaganda and mobilization efforts have been intensified through various forms, promptly conveying the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the local political tasks to all segments of the population. Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been widely implemented, yielding practical results. The content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations have been innovated, focusing on grassroots activities. Participation in Party building, government building, and social supervision and criticism have seen many positive changes. Consolidation and streamlining of the organizational structure have been given attention. Annually, 80% or more of the Front Committee working groups in residential areas and 80% or more of the Fatherland Front Committees at the ward and commune levels are rated as having excellently completed their tasks.

In the new term, the City's Fatherland Front will continue to play a core political role in building national unity, reviving patriotic traditions and national pride, strengthening social consensus; promoting campaigns, encouraging emulation in learning and creative labor, unleashing all potential and resources within the people, and creating new momentum for the city's rapid and sustainable development.

Practicing democracy, effectively fulfilling the task of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people; improving the quality of social supervision and criticism. Promoting digital transformation, building and strengthening the Fatherland Front system, focusing strongly on the grassroots level, ensuring smooth, substantive, and effective operation. Actively and proactively participating in building the Party and Government, contributing to building Phan Rang-Thap Cham City into a smart city.

In his address to the congress, the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee highly appreciated the achievements of the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Fatherland Front Committee during the past term, making important contributions to the local socio -economic development. He emphasized several tasks that the city's Fatherland Front Committee needs to focus on implementing effectively in the 2024-2029 term: Continuing to closely adhere to the viewpoints and policies of the Party, especially Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW, dated November 24, 2023, of the 13th Central Committee of the Party on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy"; implementing comprehensively, decisively, and effectively the 7 groups of solutions outlined in the Resolution, in accordance with the specific conditions of the locality, to build Phan Rang-Thap Cham City into a green, smart, compassionate, and livable tourist city, contributing to the realization of the province's development goals.

Continue to innovate in thinking and working methods, and in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to implement patriotic emulation movements and campaigns effectively and substantially; pay attention to the successful implementation of two new contents: the "Nationwide Campaign to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" and Program No. 6 on Building "Self-Governing, United, Prosperous, and Happy" residential areas. Strongly promote socialist democracy, improve the substance of social supervision and criticism; contribute to building a clean and strong Party and State; actively participate in preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena. Build a team of Front cadres at all levels with sufficient qualities, capabilities, creativity, dedication, responsibility, excellent mass mobilization skills, courage, and a desire to contribute to meet the requirements of assigned tasks...

The Congress elected 58 delegates to serve as members of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City, 10th term. Comrade Tran Thi Thuy was elected to the position of Chairperson of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City, 10th term, for the 2024-2029 term.
