NTO - Phan Rang City People's Council

On October 26th, the 12th term of the People's Council of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City held a mid-term review conference to assess the results of its activities for the 2021-2026 term. Attending the conference was Comrade Tran Minh Luc, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Comrade Chau Thi Thanh Ha, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, presided over the conference.

Since the beginning of its term, the City People's Council has fulfilled its functions, duties, programs, and plans in accordance with the law, ensuring quality and efficiency. It has effectively organized thematic supervision; maintained and effectively organized regular and thematic sessions... The process of issuing resolutions by the People's Council has been improved in terms of procedures and methods, ensuring quality and high feasibility, serving the socio-economic development tasks well. Activities related to receiving citizens and interacting with voters; monitoring and urging the resolution of opinions, suggestions, and complaints and denunciations from citizens in the locality have been given attention and effectively implemented...

In the coming period, the City People's Council will continue to innovate and improve the quality of its operations. The focus will be on regularly monitoring and closely supervising the implementation of the People's Council's resolutions to review, evaluate, and adjust them to suit the actual situation in the locality. It will closely coordinate with the City People's Committee, the City Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and relevant agencies to organize voter outreach and citizen consultations in accordance with the law. It will strengthen supervisory activities, especially regular, ad hoc, and thematic supervision. It will also effectively promote the role and improve the quality of the activities of People's Council representatives.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the achievements of the City People's Council in the past period; and requested the City People's Council to continue to promote the spirit of unity and responsibility to successfully complete the assigned political tasks, especially to strengthen propaganda work and raise awareness among all strata of the people in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the resolutions of the People's Councils at all levels. The Standing Committee, the committees, the delegate groups, and each delegate of the People's Council need to effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities, and innovate to improve the quality of their activities. They should improve the quality of resolutions, the quality of sessions, supervision activities, citizen reception, and voter engagement. Particular attention should be paid to questioning at sessions, focusing on prominent and pressing issues, thereby discussing and proposing solutions to address them, meeting the requirements and aspirations of the people and voters, and contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
