Comrade Nguyen Thanh Phu, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: In order to complete the targets and tasks for 2023 set out in the City Party Committee's resolution, from the beginning of the year, the City People's Committee has thoroughly assessed and analyzed the advantages, difficulties, potentials, and advantages, on that basis, proposed 11 groups of tasks and solutions to implement 13 development targets. Focus on effectively implementing solutions to exploit potentials and advantages to develop the trade and service sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on developing Ninh Thuan tourism to become a key economic sector in the period of 2021-2025 and vision to 2030; Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU of the City Party Committee Standing Committee on developing the city's trade and service sector, the core of which is urban tourism development in the period of 2021-2025. Directing all levels and authorities to create all favorable conditions for economic sectors to invest in developing business types; strengthening market management; exploiting and effectively using resources, especially cultural heritage values, trade and service infrastructure: supermarket systems, traditional markets, tourism night markets; strengthening market management...; especially encouraging tourism service businesses to invest in developing, diversifying, and improving service quality to meet the needs and tastes of tourists, focusing on 3 types: beach resort tourism; discovery and entertainment tourism; community tourism.

As a result, the economy recovered positively and developed steadily with a total production value of over VND8,890 billion, up 9.1% over the same period, reaching 42.4% of the target set by the resolution. Trade and services continued to be the spearhead industry with a production value of over VND3,935 billion, up 10.6%, accounting for 67.2% of the economic structure. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue were estimated at over VND14,193 billion, up 15.7%. Revenue from accommodation and catering services reached over VND1,137 billion, up 33.9%. The city welcomed 1.1 million visitors, with social income from tourism activities of about VND900 billion. Industry developed steadily, with a production value of nearly VND2,862 billion, up 7.6%, reaching 40% of the target set by the resolution. Budget revenue in the area reached 435.1 billion VND, reaching 63.7% of the target; of which the balanced revenue according to decentralization was 230.5 billion VND, reaching 71.7%; the total disbursed public investment capital was over 107 billion VND, reaching 68.5% of the plan. In particular, the city continues to promote state management, construction and urban planning to create favorable conditions to attract investment and develop the economy and society. Form culinary streets, shops specializing in selling local specialties. Promote the comparative advantages of coastal and riverside urban areas, promote the development of the tourism industry; create favorable conditions for the development of specific tourism products and types.
